    Re: Build a bear Collections

Since BPF and I have started dating, we have collected quite a few. I have one of the bears, and the Groundhog that was available for Groundhog day weekend. BPF hates the groundhog (named Shadow, of course) but I think he's cute.

    Re: Build a bear Collections

My 1st was the Polar Bear, his name is Phrosty
(this is not the WWF bear, it's the nicer previous one)
He's usually sporting a Hawaiian shirt. But also has
    a Pilgrim and Santa outfit

My 2nd was a Penguin they had at Christmas a few
years ago, his name is Phlipper. He has a Turkey
    and elf outfit.

And since one of my rooms has an Adventureland theme,
I did get a WWF giraffe.

I do like the monkey, and ever since I saw someone dress
one in wings, it's been a running joke with one of my friends.
I might have to do a monkey with a Tinkerbell outfit.

Love the names for the polar bear and penguin -- they made me giggle! (Hey, it's 12:52am and I've already sat thru Boobah and now the teletubbies, giggles is all you get!) But I must ask - what is the giraffe's name? And what are you gonna name the Monkey? (ooh ooh -- I know! Phlyer!!)

    Re: Build a bear Collections

The giraffe I didn't really "adopt" as it is a WWF critter,
(the polar bear and penguin are "pets"). Phrosty is still my favorite!
The giraffe is not nearly as cuddly, and I really consider him
more "free range" ~ but after being forced to come up with
a name, I debated between two name, My sister had a
favorite cute small beanie tiger named "Stripes", which came
to an untimely demise (sad story), so I named the giraffe
"Stripes" in memory of my sister's critter. OK, so it might
cause some psychological problems, with the giraffe, but
I not too worried, because he is free range, I haven't bothered
training or calling him by name, so I don't think he minds.
(oh, if I didn't name him "Stripes", he would have been "Spot",
but that would have only worked if he wasn't free range)

Uh, oh! Can't believe I just wrote all that for public viewing.

Now, since, I've convinced myself of the need for a monkey,
I really do need to start thinking of a name for him. Let's
see. There is a Curious George, hmm, George, maybe G.W.
which could stand for George Washington or G W Bush. Nope,
hmm, did any of those flying monkeys in Wizard of Oz have
names? Maybe "Phlash" the flying monkey in a Tink outfit.

hahahahaha, I just noticed your name Tinkermonkey!!!!
You don't happen to have a Monkey dressed in a Tinkerbell
outfit, do you?????????? I think you need a Monkey in
Tink outfit named "Phlyer", and "Phlash" can be it's bro!

We have at least Build a Bears in Phoenix, but, Phlash will
need to be "born in DTD". I think a June Birthday is likely!

I have 4 different bears and I love them all so much! My next mission: to buy another bear at DLR and buy the Belle dress for it. You can't find it in the stores.
