Everybody on this board wants attention. Always seems to end up as a venting station at some point.
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

To me there is a difference-

For example- I vented ALOT in the Gibson Girls lounge- but I did not attach a message on my post and say "why aren't you guys giving me more rep for this", or "what do I have to do to get rep from you"- I did not post what I did to up my popularity, or demand acceptance. I just vented- let the rest of it fall as it may.

Venting is great- it's fine- but asking for rep, money, trying to create cliques that by their very nature leave others out, or complaining that you are not getting enough attention, is simply too much.

Okay, I don't get the "cliques" thing. I have heard that complained about a lot. Do people refer to a similar group of people who post in the same threads most often Cliques? Because what is wrong with that?

And if I am just oblivious to other cliques, then that's good I guess? I just haven't understood this.

if people get upset over the DMCA being a clique, please note I never intended it to be that way, and that I literally do NOT remember posting it.

Thank you for your time and attention...
    What an idiot....

Yeah, I do that Twitter thing.

Visiting your favorite threads, having a "club" name for them, and saying that you like said threads in your user info. is just saying which thread holds your intrest at any given time. Some really fun threads just die out and some threads just won't go away!! I've said it before, that birds of a feather thing. If you're enjoying the company of the other posters in a given thread, you're bound to go back to it again and again...and you'll most likely give and receive a bunch of rep in the process.

This is all about fun, for me.
I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
That explains the trouble that I'm always in...

It's the beauty pageant threads. It's the crush threads. It's this need to single people out over and over again as being "special" in comparison to others. Sure, it's fun, and for most of us, not a big deal, but it also affects people adversely. They feel left out-and that is not the intent of this forum.

People "clique" naturally- but to force it again and again. Join this club, we're so cool? It excludes.....

Aww, now that this has turned into an anti-clique, anti-drama, anti-vendetta thread I feel left out.

    Sorry.

    Carry on.
Ooo, heaven is a place on earth.

Well, I have found the secret to getting rep... use an avatar that's a half naked, hot man.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I have to agree with Nephy. When we were in those first couple of months after MiceChat started was when the first click threads started popping up. I was left out and it made me feel very bad. I don't won't anybody to feel bad on this unless they bring it on themselves. In this thread, Derekuda brought it on himself. I want ev eryone to feel welcome and happy to be a member of the MiceChat family. Why should we fret over being popular. We should just be happy to be a part of something great...MiceChat.
