TRIP REPORT~Surf & Sand Mini Vacation/Sisters Wedding

This weekend, my wife, son and I had a 'mini-vacation' at the Surf & Sand Resort in beautiful Laguna Beach, California. The event that brought this on? My sisters wedding! Yes, my sister got married yesterday evening at 6pm on the Catalina Terrace overlooking the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean.

The wedding party was given each a room at the resort as part of the wedding package purchased by my parents for the wedding. So my wife and I being a bridesmaid and groomsman, got a room right on the Catalina Terrace - for FREE! So, after the reception, we got to stay at the resort!

With the current 'happenings' in our lives lately, this little 'getaway' was so much needed and a very refreshing time for us to escape our reality and enjoy a little piece of heaven this weekend - and to celebrate my sisters nuptials!

So, here it goes - my TRIP REPORT:

This was taken Friday - just before the rehearsal. I remind myself so much of my late Grandpa Rex here - he used to take pictures like this

Sunday Morning - Grant's ready for breakfast. Kind of an odd picture....I know, but it seemed so funny that sitting down, Grant comes up to my knee, or just a little below....so we though it would be a funny picture memory when he's older.

We left shortly after these were taken and headed to Ruby's down on Pacific Coast Highway and had breakfast with my brother and his family and my cousin and her family.

It was definitely a wonderful and much needed weekend - and I am glad that I got to share some of it with you.
