Tell Me What to do in San Francisco.

I'm leaving for San Francisco on Friday. What should I do? What little restaurant should I eat at? What hotel do you like? What funky, incredible, little landmark shouldn't I miss?

Our only plan so far is to go to the Giants game on Friday night because my daughter is singing the national anthem with her choir.

So far, I'm looking at staying at either the Orchard Hotel or Hotel Union Square. I like small boutique-y hotels. Help!

Last time we went we stayed at the Sheraton @ Fisherman's Wharf.

We drove a bit on Lombard Street- that really whindy road.

Make sure you take a stoll on Pier 39.

Go to Ghiradelli Square (we bought over $100 worth of chocolate - mostly gifts).

Oh and of course, drive across Golden Gate Bridge a time or two...

Stinky B...what fun!

My family and I have stayed in the Hotel Unio Square a few times nad we love it. It's not super duper fancy like the Fairmont, but the rooms are usually bigger and better and you will feel like you just stepped back in time. Plus, you can't beat the location..it's so close to the cable car station and the huge mall. There is a fabulous Italian restuarant kitty corner to the hotel...it's called Puccini and Pinetti...

I think you are going to have a BLAST!

Drive out to Lodi on Saturday and watch Pirates with us Nor Cal-ers!

I suppose If I had to do one thing while visiting San Francisco, it would be walk across, or at least out onto the Golden Gate Bridge.

Or perhaps go to Fishermans Wharf and take a Bay Cruise. It takes you under the Golden Gate, past Angel Island, Alcatraz, and up the water front, complete with Audio tour. Best way to See the City.

Last time I was in SF I stayed here and loved it ... probably because they have a nightly wine reception and each room is different.

Also - if you like Hunan food, you must go to Brandy Ho's. It's good - plus it's fun to say Brandy Ho's.

For restaurants go to Steelhead Brewing by the Wharf and if it's still there Petrouchka in Berkeley. Also the restaurants at the wharf are usually good. Get a slice of Blondie's pizza if you can.

Ok - when you get to your hotel, make sure you stand on your head. That's what I want you to do in San Francisco.

In addition to all of the tourist stuff, I recommend the Hyatt Regency, SF.

On top of the beautiful Hotel (literally), they have the Equinox restaurant.

I believe it is the only rooftop restaurant in CA that turns 360 degree's while you enjoy your meal or an evening cocktail.

Ultimate romantic meal in the City!

The lobster bisque is AWESOME!!!

And their black angus bone-in prime rib isn't too shabby either!

Actually, we have never had a bad meal there yet! (And dont expect to!)

We spent our wedding night there before we took off on our honeymoon, and have spent quite a few anniversary's (and other special occassions)there as well.

Their suites are HUGE!!!

Be sure and make it up Telegraph Hill and to the top of Coit Tower.

The view there is awesome!

And keep an eye out for the world-famous Bush-Man!

He does his show on the Wharf, near the fishing fleet. He'll getcha if you're not careful!!! LOL

You won't be disappointed!
