    My Mom's roses

Hi. You may remember me talking about buying my Mom a Disneyland rose for Mother's day. Now that the weather is getting nicer her roses are starting to bloom. So I want to share them with you.

    First up is Just Joey.

Then we have a Kardinal Rose.

    Then we have Honor.

One of the more interesting ones is the Fourth of July. My mom got the idea for this trellace at a garden in Australia. Notice how it has red and white stripes.

Then there is Joesph's Coat Rose.

A close up of one of the flowers on the Joesph's Coat rose.

    Nearby is the Rio Samba.

    Then the Brigadoon.

    Then the Bewitched.

I didn't take any far away pictuers of the next one, just some close ups. These next 2 are the Double Delight rose. Its amazing how different the 2 look, but they are the same plant.

What about the Disneyland Rose? Here it is. Unfortunately, it has not flowered yet, but there are tons of buds.

I will take more pictures when the Disneyland Rose opens. There are several other roses that are still closed as well, but they should open soon and I'll post those as well. Thanks for looking.

Oh those are sooo beautiful! I like the Kardinal and the Rio Samba the best. the Rio Samba reminds me a bit of the Peace, which next to the Tropicana is my favorite rose. Bewitched is very nice too.

My mom has a Tropicana too. It's one of the roses that has not bloomed yet. My Mom keeps a book with all her roses in it. I noticed today that she had finally added the information for the Disneyland Rose. For the picture she used the one I printed for her of Circarama's rose! Neat!

    Re: My Mom's roses

I was back up at the house today and took a few more pictures.

First a close up of Just Joey

And a close up of Kardinal.

Honor has really opened up since last time.

    Honor close up.

A close up of the Fourth of July Rose.

    Rio Samba up close

    Brigadoon

    Bewitched

And how is the Disneyland Rose doing. Here is a new picture.

Since I bought it it has really grown. None of those buds were there a month ago. It should open any day now. You can see a few buds are jsut starting to open. We are really excited and are watching it closely.

Do you think that the Joseph's coat roses are named after the Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat bible story?

    Re: My Mom's roses

Its been a few days since my last update. So here we go.

We'll start with some of the roses we have seen before.

First up, Brigadoon has opened up more. You can see Bewitched behind it.

Fourth of July has also really opened up now.

I really liked this close up of Rio Samba.

    Now for some new roses.

First is Voodoo. It has just started opening.

And a close up of Voodoo.

This is Purple Tiger. Its not doing so well and my Mom plans on moving it. Still its really pretty.

A close up from earlier in the week.

Here is one of Tropicana. It is just opening and I should be getting some great pictuers soon.

    This is Olympiad.

And now for the Disneyland Rose update. Still not open, but we are just about there.

    I see color!

    Thanks everyone for the comments.
