Its the end of a long (well it seemed long to me) week here in the UK, how has everyone elses weeks been? Met anyone important? Made any new friends? Rediscovered old friends? Caught a good movie? Heard a good song? Wanna tell MiceChat your views on any item of news from this week? Let it all out, its Friday. And to celebrate new Smileys, stick this Vogue in your pipe and smoke it

The heat here makes me miss Leeds.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

This week HAS seemed long. All day Tuesday I kept thinking it was Wednesday. All day Thursday it seemed like Friday. I HATE that!

OMG same here! Wednesday was the most Friday-like day this week for me.

And Morrigoon - erm, this week has seen the three hottest days in the UK this year so far, one day it was hotter in Bournemouth than MIAMI. So I'd stay where you are if I were you.

You should read the following post as if The Simpsons' Lunchlady Doris was reading it. It's much funnier that way:

My computer crashed, I almost got hit by a car yesterday and this morning a woman ran a stop sign and almost smashed my car. Other than that, it's going great.

I don't ever remember it being this hot in Yorkshire. And this isn't even true summer heat for us here yet! It's only been in the 80s/90s (thank god I live in Costa Mesa, which is about 10 degrees cooler than Anaheim!), and in the deepest throes of the summer heat (you know, like around July 17) it can be in the low 100s!

Not that I'm totally complaining, I'm just more of a winter person... LOVED all the rain we got this year.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Not bad, thanks. Actually started podcasting. Got to go to my son's 5th grade completion ceremony <proud dad>where he got a academic achievement award</proud dad>, had a mildly uneventful work week, and am looking forward to seeing Herbie: Fully Loaded at the drive-in tomorrow night (first time at the drive-in in years).

You're right! It sounds so much better! We should do a whole thread about non-funny things that are hilarious in a Lunchlady Doris voice.

My past week has been totally unique since it was spent rafting down the Colorado River in The Grand Canyon. Here's my thread:

"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

Let's see...Tuesday morning around 6am my boss calls me and needs me to come in at 7am! It was my day off! But I needed money so I went!
Wednseday..I tripped over a box of bread my boss left on the floor, I went flying across the backroom! Pulled the muscle in my right calf, and the pain shooted up to the knee! The knee I have had 2 surgerys on!! Still hurts today, but I'm used to the knee pain! Today I have another day off! Want to
go to Disneyland tonight, but can't because I have to be up at 2am tomarrow to go to work!!! But that's ok! I'm going on Sunday to the Micechatters meet!
Hopefully the weekend will be a good one!
