I consider my REAL home address 1313 Harbor Blvd, Anaheim,

But unfortunately the Post Office has me listed in Phoenix.

I live a little bit closer to copper square. I live on Central & Portland, right in the arts district. I love it there.

I kid you not my house number is 1313 We knew we had found our home when we saw the address. Now if I could just get the city to change our street name to Harbor.

Very cool!!! They cleaned up downtown many years ago, before I left Phx. Otherwise, nobody would want to live down that far. I used to work on Central and Thomas and lived at 3rd St., north of Thomas. As a child (1960's) we lived by Christown, which I understand is now pretty much a ghost town.

Okay----I have to ask THE Arizona question........

Who watched Wallace & Ladmo???????????

Thanks for the vote Janine! I'm not a native so I never got to see Wallace and Ladmo, but I've seen tapes and I know many grew up watching them. They are Phx icons.

I did. As a kid (again 1960's) my cousins and I would go to a scary movie at the Christown theatre and Wallace & Ladmo would be there to do a skit before the movie. Man....suddenly I feel VERY old!

Here's some interesting news about Christown Mall.

A little history: JC Penney was the first major tenant to
close up shop at Christown, slowly the other major tenants
also left. When trying to attract new stores to fill in all
the available space. 1st up was Walmart, who moved in the
east wing of the mall. Petco and Ross Dress for less moved
into the old Montgomery Ward location, but with only an
exterior entrance and no mall entrance. Costco took over
the location previously occupied by JC Penney. Last year,
the entire west end of the mall was blocked off, leaving only
half of the mall. now guess who is going to be the new
store at thewest side ~ a Super Target, AND J C Penney
will be returning their old mall. Is that just bizarre!?!?!?!?!?
Oh and the name of the mall for the past couple of years has
been Spectrum Mall. BUT I think everyone still calls it
Christown, anyway.

Christown was named for a man named Chris too. I remember that. AND..when I was a kid in the late 60's, my cousins and I would walk to Christown to play in the elevator and on the escalator in JC Penney! haha! One whole flight!!!!!!!

My son did tell me it was Spectrum Mall now. I sort of like that J C Penney is moving back in. Will they be in their old spot? I remember for years there was a Dillards outlet type store on the southwest side. And, that Squaw Peak was changed too. Piestewa ?? Of course, I still call the freeway the Black Canyon highway! And, a LOT more freeways exist now then when I left 15 years ago....but...I have visited since then, of course. TONS of my family still live there.

The In-Laws are all in the Phoenix area...Hubster was born and raised in Phoenix and goes back a couple o' times a month. I did live there two years when doing my grad studies at ASU...and worked at the Phoenix Zoo.

Here's something I miss...Sonic. Mmmmmmm, Sonic...
