Re: Arizona Mice Chatters

It is such a bad area now that before Krispy Kreme went bankrupt here in Arizona they closed the store they built there after being only open a relatively short time. Heck it is getting to the point that we do not like going to Metro Center due a lot of undesirables.

STAY AWAY FROM METROCENTER

One of my friends is a cop and he works off-duty there and that place is no good. Skip it. I reccomend PV, or anywhere else but Metro.

Well, um, uh, can I think about it. How about if I just go to Palm Springs CA (it's hot there ) for a day or two in July or August (or maybe October).

Phoenix in the summer, well, well, um, uh.

We have been doing PV for the last few years. My son used to work there. There are a few shops that I like at Metro Center but they are not worth getting shot over.

So...I've been discussing Wallace and Ladmo with Hubster and come to find out, not only did he get a Ladmo bag, he was a WINNER! Actually, his older brother won for this gem of a joke (and was forced to take his kid brother on the show):

How do you make antifreeze?
You take away her pajamas.

I've heard this. It's SO sad because in the 1960's when we lived there, it was middle class and clean and safe. Of course...that was the 60's! ha! MetroCenter, I have heard, is a scary, scary place. I remember all of my friends working there in high school. We thought it was the coolest place on earth because it was such a huge mall at the time. (Mid to late 1970's).

How did I miss this thread? Put me down, 1/2 mile from PV mall in Phoenix. Like Max, born and raised here, grew up by Los Arcos when it was much better. Never made it on the Wallace and Ladmo show, but my friend did and he got a Ladmo bag.

Re: Arizona Mice Chatters

For all of us Wallace and Ladmo fans I read that we will be getting an exhibit in September.

http://www.azcentral.com/community/m...llace0621.html

Yes, I still want a Ladmo bag and am green with jealousy over anyone who got one and kept it. Remember who they used to be full sized grocery bags and by the end of the series they were just lunch bag sized?

DLandsFanAZ I think we are sort of neighbors. My son just graduated from Shadow Mountain. It really is getting to be a small world.

No but the guy who did that exhibit is the one doing the Mesa exhibit. His website is www.wallacewatchers.com.

Now for a real AZ oldies but goodies question. How many of you ever went to Arizona own's version of Disneyland, Legend City?

Just asked Hubster about Legend City...His favorite memory is the little self-propelled train.
