Are you talking about the bowling alley right by the old Christown, now Spectrum Mall? I'm not real familiar with that neighborhood, but both of my girls were born across the street at Phoenix Baptist Hospital.

What a cool link. We get quite a few of these up in WA, but, there's some interesting stuff on there like a Dr Pepper with sugar, whatever that means! As if it doesn't have enough of that already! You know what we don't get here??? (Besides good Mexican food!) Laura Scudder chips!

It is in the news today that they are changing the name of Spectrum Mall back to Christown although now it will be Christown Spectrum Mall.

How cool! And fun also to know it became Christown in 1961 (the year I was born). I didn't live by it until about 1964 or so. I like that they are changing it back!!!

I never did understand why they changed it. Everyone knew it as Christown and everyone I know still calls it Christown.

Christown used to have this awesome Ice Cream Parlor across from the mall. The name escapes me but the ice cream was awesome and I really miss the parlor.

Here are some other things I miss from AZ:

Ed Debevicks
Joot N Hoops
The Skating Rink inside Metro Mall

Those places were always so much fun and now they have all been closed

I remember two Farrells. The one on University east of McClintock and the other one on Indian School near Scottsdale Road (it's a Fuddruckers now.) At least we still have the Sugar Bowl.

Sugar Bowl sounds so good right now except it is too friggin hot to drive anywhere.

No but Farrells was great too.

This place was across the street on the North East corner in a little strip mall. I think it had the name Mary in it but I could be wrong.

I think it was Mary Coyle's does anyone remember???

There is a Farrells just outside of San Diego still. They still band the drums and carry the biggest ice cream sundae out on a stretcher.

I LOVED Farrell's!! My friends and I would take turns saying it was our birthday when we went in there. haha! That way, one of us got a free sundae.
