I saw them at the Whisky in 1980 or so with the Go Go's opening for them. Belinds was still quite porkey and they wern't very good live. I'm surprised they made it but Madness remains fairly obscure.

Between my husband and I, we still have over 3000 albums - on vinyl - and about 400 singles, mostly imports or independently produced vinyl of bands no one had ever heard such as Sex Pistols, U2, B52's, The Clash, etc. I KNOW that era - or at least the non-pop side of it.

I LOVED my Roos! I also had Snorks that were mood shoes. They had velco on the sides, and came with little velcro Snorks in different moods that you could change as your moods changed. My fave. shoes ever!! And velcro shoes - if you wore your velcro in a X shape you were cool!

Hammer was the opening act at my second of third concert - I can't even remember that main act but man, I LOVED me some Hammer!!

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Almost every single school picture I have of myself has huge bangs. Oh yes. And I don't know if these are late 80s or early 90s but I have way too many Troll dols.

OK! Guys, one of my bosses at work today was wearing Roos! They were yellow and turquoise and they would have been butt ugly except they were Roos so they were cool beyond belief!!! Ok, that's all, I had to share.

    I remember ZIPS!!

I begged my mom for a pair and she never bought them for me! I was angry until I found out what a pain in the A$$ they were to change out when my friend got a pair so I got over it.

ROOS and Vans are still DA BOMB!!!

I still sport the slip on Vans!
