Are things just too PC these days?

We can all see it with the changes that were made to POTC. Are things just too PC and over gentle these days?

Why is it that people seem more sensitive to everything today more than they were yesterday? People are now more litigous and sensitive to the point that people must be careful with even making a joke because someones feelings are hurt.

Where has the laughter gone? Why must everything be so cut-and-dry and serious, lest someone be offended?

People used to have backbones and now it seems that some people can't even make an opinion or joke without someone jumping down there throat.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed it also?
I will save the princess, though I do not know the way.

Who was it that was telling me about a British track Olympian who won the event and, so the newscaster announced, became the first woman Africian-American to win this event.

I think the general population has just become overly "Hyper-sensative" and try to appease the masses with attempting to not offend in doing so, opinions are lost, people get hurt feelings and so everyone adopts a GroupThink mentality, which is just sad.

This is why I try oh so hard to NOT be PC. It's part of my charm

But seriously, PC has oversensitized everything and it just has to stop. It's gotten to the point where you almost cant say BOO without someone saying "Now Matt do you think all those ghosts out there would appreciate a non ghost from using the term BOO?" To which I reply, "BOO!!!!!"

What are you trying to say? You are talking about me aren't you?! Look, I know I can be a bit sensitive, but I don't see why you feel the need to call me out in front of everyone!!

Sorry, had to do it. YES people are too sensitive. I try not to be as sometimes I do lean towards being that way- but I really do make a concerted effort not to take things so seriously and personally. I wish other people would lighten up as well!

I agree. The world has just gotten way to self absorbed. The planet needs to get over it and move on. Granted there are times when its a very fine line between a joke and just being cruel... but no body can say ANYTHING any more without being afraid of stepping on someones toes. Life is to short to take everything so seriously.

I agree with ya Frodo!!! And let me just say that people who are overly PC need to take the stick out of their hiney and get over themselves. The world is not out to get you for pete's sake!!!!

Suck it up and flipping DEAL with it!!!!!

And to the people who purposely step on toes, antagonize others to get a rise out of them, and are just RUDE......just remember that you are not better than anyone else that walks this planet so for you to act like you are.....just prove that there are still those who need to grow up and get a life in this world. Button pushers be gone!!!! Most of us have NO TIME for you

I agree the PC got out of hand, didn't it all start from Hilary Clinton when they were in the Whitehouse?
Seems to me she was very vocal about what the world was supposed to say in her eyes.

Myself I don't give a hoot, beside I like watching the results when I call a spade a spade.
