    David Beckham Live In LA

How are you dealing with all of your excitement and anticipation of David Beckham's arrival in LA?

And how do you think he'll do with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Los Angeles?
Three-time MVP Larry Bird, noting that Bryant has been the NBA's premier player for years, told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick before this week's announcement, "When someone told me the other day that Kobe hadn't won an MVP trophy, it sort of made me feel like I wanted to throw mine away."

    VERY Excited!!!!!!

If he play with his team he will be awesome, if he tries to be the star he will disappoint!

He can be a great player and he is one of the best in the world when he is on so I cannot wait to see him play. I wish I could go to a game!

I'm certainly no soccer fan but weren't the Galaxy already selling out most of their games at the HD Center?

I thought they signed Beckham more for increased TV revenues and "brand awareness" and that sort of thing.

I don't know if Frenchy is going to come across this, but that jersey would look GREAT on me!!!

I love the HD center since I see it on my way to DL!

When I heard that he had been signed it made me want to go to more games. It definetly has worked for more awareness of the league.

I hope so! It's one GREAT sport, and the athleticism is incomparable to other sports!!! The way these players have to stay in shape, endurance, agility, strength, mental toughness!!!

I hope it bring an awareness about the sport, MLS to get bigger and bring on some more advanced players from the European leagues!

Completely neutral... despite knowing that I ought to be excited, and knowing what a big star he is elsewhere. Just not my thing, I guess.

On the other hand, I was super excited when Teemu Selanne came to Anaheim. It's all in which sport you're interested in, I guess.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Re: David Beckham Live In LA

There's rumblings of possibly getting Zidane on the Galaxy next year! WOW!!! Chris Albright, Joe Cannon, Landon Donovan, Cobi Jones, Carlos Pavon, Peter Vagena, David Beckham and possibly ZIDANE on the same roster!!!!

"I'm coming there not be a superstar," Beckham said. "I'm coming there to be part of the team, to work hard and to hopefully win things."

I honestly hope people see the beauty of this sport, even if it takes a Beckham signing. There are so many kids that love the sport from an early age!

Well, if nothing else, it should be good for the overall image of MLS in the US. Just like Gretzky coming to LA made hockey more popular in California.

Been there...done that...tried it...not my thing...will always be a "Euro" sport to me. Morrigoon's right...hockey's much more exciting. There are long periods of time in most soccer matches when the goalies could send out for lunch.

I'm a baseball first guy, so there you go. To each, their own.
