Jem! Jem is excitement, Jem is adventure.

I was actually too little for Jem dolls when they were available. I've always been disappointed that my big sister collected Barbie instead of Jem.

I can still hear the Full House theme in my head. And I probably still have some slap-bracelets somewhere. But I didn't see anything about wearing huge "scrunchie" hair ties. Boy, did I ever.
You don't need me or my ham, cheese, cheese, cheese, tomato, cheese, ham and tomato sandwiches. And cheese.

the mousercize host was named Kellyn. i always thought that was a weird name. i watched mousercize all the time. I think it was 82-83 when i was 8 in Disneyland and couldn't wait till i was old enough to go to Videopolis. yea, by the time i was old enough it was gone. I so wanted to be a teenager in the 80's.

Videopolis was such a great place. I used to go every night when I was down there. I think I still got my old Videopolis T shirt around here somewhere. It had mickey in a pink t-shirt playing a electric guitar with these pastel colors above him spelling out 'Videopolis'.
    Growing older is manditory
    Growing up is however, optional

My prom dress was purple with little white polka dots on it. If that wasn't bad enough I wore matching purple shoes and white hose!!!! Don't forget the 1/2 up and 1/2 down hair.

The side ponytail that was part of my cheerleading uniform.

Pant legs tucked in to slouch socks. Chemin de Fer (sp?) bags. (The jr high/high school girls are carrying bags again instead of backpacks. Have you noticed?) Flats are back too. What about those short boots with the heel... you laced them up kind of like a roller skate with the hooks near the top...?? Loved me some banana clips

I was actually wishing for a banana clip yesterday. It's so hot and my hair isn't quite long enough for a ponytail yet. A banana clip would be perfect! I wore one with rhinestones to the winter formal, junior year, 1988. You know, the rhinestones made it formal.
    A signature should go here.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it even though I'll be mocked endlessly.

For my wedding, I wore one with organza ruffles on it that matched my dress And the dress? It was modeled in the bridal magazine by Tawny Kittaen. (

No, I didn't dance on the hood of a car )
