My First Concert Tonight!!!

I am finally finally finally going to my first concert tonight!

It's at the H.O.B. in DtD and it is "The Academy Is..." (Not my favorite band, but all of my friends are going)

Doors open at 6:00 but we are getting there 2 hours early because my friend is a mega-fan

I think there may be a couple tickets left... but don't quote me

My first concert... okay that's a loaded question because my first concert in theory is Blondie and my mom was 8 months pregnant with me (don't remember it but my dad swears that's why my hair was blonde until I was 20 and he still calls me "Blondie."). My first concert that I recollect was Lilith Fair 1998.

Recommendation: bring the least you can. Cellphone, ticket, id, and money. Don't be a hero and bring your purse. Maybe bring some lip balm.

One good thing about HOB is that I love the intimacy of the club. If you stand right up against the stage, you'll enjoy the spit and sweat off the band.

i dont' really remember much of my first show, it was Ted Nugent in 1976 and i was a whopping 5 years old. lol!

the first shows i really remember were Sister Sledge on the old Tomorrowland Stage and Marvin Gaye..but they were goodies

I remember my first in a long line of Concert going experiences. I won tickets on the Radio to see Ozzy Osbourne at the Irvine Amphitheater. My step-mom was freaking out because she didn't want me to go because there was all these rumors about Ozzy sacrificing Goats on stage. Funny how you bite the head off of one dove and get bit by one rabid bat on stage and people label you.
Anyway, I just looked at my dad and said,"Hey dad, isn't Black Sabbath you're favorite band? So, do you want to take me to see Sabbath's lead singer solo?" He smiled and so I got to see Ozzy with my dad!! Dang my dad was so cool!!!

Have a blast! Last concert I saw was ay the Vegas House of Blues and I had to be carted off in a wheelchair. Beer, Tequila and watermelon shooters don't mix.

My first concert was in 1986. I saw The Monkees on their 20th anniversary tour. My grandma went with me.

Then summer of 1987 I saw my first "real" concert.... Erasure & Duran Duran. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago this year!

As to my first concert . . . the first one I went to without parental escort was Queen with Thin Lizzy opening.
