Disneyland Cast Members

Hi Everyone!

I am new here, and wanted to post a big hello to everyone! It is so much fun finding a place where I can talk to other people who share my passion for all things Disney...

I am also a former Cast Member circa 1989 to 1993. So I thought it would be fun to see if there were any other former or current cast members out there, and to find out what your best and worst (if you like) memories of working for the mouse are. If you were never a cast member, memories having to do with your experiences with a particularly good cast member would be fun to read about. Here is my memory of the park.

I worked at the Blue Bayou Restaurant from 1989 to 1993, I worked in various capacities as a hostess, cashier, door person, reservations, waitress (a very bad one) and when the Bayou was down for rehab, I was often sent to Cafe Orleans, French Market or for one memorable period Hungry Bear, Bengal Bbq and Casa Mexicana. I have to say I loved everything about working for Disneyland, being a life long Disney nut my job was a dream come true. But one thing in particular does stand out as being the most fun. Grad Nights! I know, most people really disliked working grad nights, but they were fun because we weren't really that busy and we had lots of time to mess around and have fun. I don't really have any "worst memories", except maybe trying to get back to my locker after the last electric parade!

I think there's a place for this.

It's called "The Break Room." So if there a mod reading this, can we move this thread there, please?

Ummm. I wasn't trying to make anyone mad, I am sorry if I offened you by posting in the wrong spot. BTW the moderator already moved this post from the Disneyland section and this is where they put it. Have a Lovely Day.

Its fine where its at. I put it here and not in the Break Room since that area is more for current CM's to talk about work related stuff and she's looking for current and former members and just like she said... saying howdy and getting to know everyone in general.

First of all, welcome to MiceChat!

Secondly, I think this got moved to the Lounge because it's a chit-chatty kind of thread. As best I can tell, The Break Room tends toward current CMs, so this is fine with me as a general shout-out.
I do suggest you check it out for more specific threads later on! Have fun!

Perhaps you need to let mods do their job. No need to be snippy with new members.

My uncle was the owner of the Sunkist Citrus Houses. Being that you were there in the early 90s you might remember them as those were their final years. Probably half of my cousins worked there on and off through the years. I never did but I always was so jealous. My mom never wanted me to work there as she didn't want to impose on her brother. She's weird like that. Oh well...
