Enter the time-machine - what year?

    Enter my fantasy:

You have just discovered a time-machine, you have to make a choice.
You have to choose a YEAR. What year? In to the past, what event would you like to witness? Into the future? What date? Where in the world?

The first thing that popped into my head was Friday February 7th 1964.
B-Day, the Beatles arrive for the first time in U.S. at John F. Kennedy Airport. (I was at that actual time, only 19 months old.)

    How about you?

I would like to go back to any random day in 1978 to spend one last day with my dad before he passed.

I would like to go back to 1955 or 1956, and this time when I see Walt I would like to have the courage to speak to him.

    2507.

Considering what has happened in the past 500 years - I'm really interested in knowing if we can survive - and if so will it be another dark ages or utopia? Will I be unable to distinguish science from magic? Will humans finally overcome their Neandertal genetics?
