Faux tree with lights here. So Friday it will be up. We love Christmas so the earlier we decorate the longer we get to enjoy.

Dec 4th. One great thing about being a Washingtonian is that great trees are easy to find and inexpensive.

We got a fake tree which will probably go up Dec 1. I think this weekend we will start putting up the outside lights.

We get a real tree and usually do it the 2nd weekend in December. I don't know if I can wait that long this year though

We still do get the wreaths though so we can have that smell. The fresh tree's just got too expensive, and we've already made our money back.

Add me in the fake tree crowd. It looks real, or I'm going blind... probably a little of both. This Saturday. Me and my son will apply exterior illumination on Friday.

Re: When are you getting your tree?

We will be putting our tree up probably Dec 8th. We will however be buying our tree sooner than that. We usually pick it out and have the lot put it on hold for us so they can water and care for it a bit longer. It seems to stay fresher if it gets to live outside a bit longer, but we buy it early because 10ft trees are not easy to come by so we have to shop early!

Here, in So Cal, the trees do better inside. Those firs just weren't made for 70 degree weather.

Re: When are you getting your tree?

I don't do trees. I think my mothers puts hers up the first week of December.

She got a really pretty fake tre last year. It was a guilt tree. My father somehow managed to knock the old fake tree over...the tree broke, ornaments broke...it was not a pretty site. So, the replacement tree cost a small fortune, but it does look nice.

More Christmas Trees is more better! We start decorating the day after Thanksgiving so we can enjoy them longer. We don't take them down until after the first of the year.

I have a small fiber optic tree I usually put up, but not going to this year. My kitten will get into it and destroy it. I don't trust the little booger, so I'll wait until next year (if he's settled down) to decorate again.
