We got an artificial tree (something we always said we would NEVER do) a few years back. We still do get the wreaths though so we can have that smell.
This is what we do, too. It's a lot easier on Mr.P's allergies that way. And the fake tree already has lights on it, so that alone is worth it for me!

Where do we put the trees:
Livingroom - main tree, decorated Mid-Century Modern
Diningroom - similar to Livingroom tree
Familyroom - Old world - travel rememberances.
Bedroom - oldworld, exotic
Sunroom - two trees, just lights
Office - new this year, aluminum knock-off (mylar) decorate Mid-Century Modern
Pictures please! My BIL has his family's vintage aluminum tree, but my sister only lets him put it up every other year. I'm trying to get my hands on it during the off season. His parents shipped it out from Ohio. So. Cool.
I'm not quite ready for mine yet. Almost, but not quite. Also our house is tiny and we are having a guest for a week, so the less clutter the better for the time being. Unless we decide to do it all together, which could be fun!
I have always had a fake tree, but every year say we should try a real one. But anyways my tree is up and decorated as of last weekend
Finished the rest of the decorating around the house by last Tuesday. I actually started with the my village the day after Halloween and that took a few weeks then started last weekend with the rest of the house. Probably going to do the outside this weekend if the weather holds up.
We have a fake tree. It usually goes up around the 1st or 2nd week of December. Last year my dad and I started right after Thanksgiving and my mom thought we started way too early, so I think we'll be waiting a little bit this year. But I can't help it, love Christmas decorations
I put up an artificial tree also and it will go up this weekend. I've already rearranged the furniture to get ready for it. I have a 9 ft main tree, then several other 5-6 foot artificial trees that will go up in assorted places throughout the house. I think I will even put one in my 3 yr old son's room this year.
I used to do real trees when I lived in CA, but now I like artificial trees cuz I can put them up early and keep them up till Jan 1st. But I do like getting a real wreath to have the real tree smell throughout the house!
Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
A couple of artificial trees we will put up. One of them is darn near close to real. But who knows when we will get ours up.

Got my tree on Sunday. Pulled out the decorations yesterday. Will start decorating today! Yay!
Got mine on Sunday also. Half-way done decorating it but the outside of my house is a wreck. There's 6-7 houses on my block where we all try to one-up each other. Ended up spending $350 for new LEDs for a 'different' look so my neighbor bought a $250 special order inflatable. We're all starting to look like the Griswolds.
