What do you do when it gets so out of control the kids are not allowed to look any more?

Yo, I don't go low-end on my inflatables - besides, I prefer brunettes.

Aww, You should just fly to NYC then to celebrate Christmas.

I enjoy the significance of the tree because of the girls but whether its real or not doesn't bother me, as long as it's pretty.

Phil on the other hand MUST have a REAL one, Douglas fir to be precise and if the location isn't selling them we go to the next one until we find one. This year the tree was $59 bucks. Yay real trees! LOL

Honestly, I dislike the real trees because of the needles, the sap and the fact my cats think its a buffet or climbing contraption.

We got ours yesterday. Putting the lights up tonight but waiting to decorate it until my oldest daughter flies in next month.

My hubby insists on a real tree too, Noble Fir and we have 9-10ft ceilings...we will be lucky to get away with $159, which to me is totally insane!

    A little piece of heaven

I feel your pain MT, I made the mistake of mentioning a nice, "fake" tree once and he about had a coronary. "You can't have Christmas without the smell of a real tree!"

    I just and said, "Whatever."

Yes...I'm one of the tree-must-be-real camp. And it must be a noble. And it must be large. And it's never just $59.

My artificial trees are up and one is decorated. I am still working on the 9 ft one. I have to use a ladder to reach the top! The rest of the house is decorated already and the lights outside are all done. Now I am just sitting back waiting for it to snow...

Re: When are you getting your tree?

Getting it? I've already gotten it....quite a few years ago. The real question for me is when am I going to sweet talk my husband and son into going up in the attic and dragging it down for me. And yes, it is fake and not just some dried up brown twigs, although we did find a real pumpkin that someone put up there one year after Halloween.
