What is your least favorite Disney character?

In recent years there have been a few animated Disney movies that really didn't catch my interest. Home on the range, Chicken Little, Lilo and Stitch and pretty much any animated sequel that went straight to DVD. However, I want to touch on Lilo and Stitch. When I think about classic Disney characters that Walt put his personal stamp of approval on I wonder... what would he think of Stitch? Of all the newer Disney characters to join the ranks of Disney stardom what is it that makes Stitch so popular? He is rude, obnoxious, flatulent and disgusting. Why does Disney devote so much marketing/merchandising to this character? What kind of role model is that for children these days? It's already difficult for children to find good role models with the Paris Hilton's and Britney Spears' running around (but that's a rant for another thread.)

Anyway long story short I try not to use the word hate because I think it's too strong a word for most things I dislike, but I really hate Stitch. He is not what Disney beliefs and ideals embody whatsoever. But I digress...

Yeah, I've thought about the whole "What if Walt was still alive?" concept approach to Disney Co. By the same same token as you've mentioned Stitch (and I agree to a certain extent), Sid in TS was pretty demented, what he did with the toys. I was affraid that was a little weird for my daughter (just 4-yo then) and might give her nightmares. But, was Snow White for toddlers? I mean the queen sent the huntsman Humbert to kill her and cut out her heart.

I agree with you to a certain extent, but I believe there is a difference between following the storyline of a classic fairytale and writing in a character that burps, farts and does other rude/disgusting things. Have you been on the Stitch Experience at WDW? Can't say I enjoy having chili cheese dog burped on the back of my neck. You won't see any of that type of thing on the Snow White ride.

I have never understood why people like stitch. I thought maybe because I had never seen the movie I just didn't "get it". Well, I rented the movie, not only do I still not like stitch...I know don't like the movie as well. It really wasn't good at all. There was some amusing moments, but overall the movie was pretty bad.

No I haven't, but now I have one more reason to be partial to DL over WDW.

I think Stitch made such a full character change that in the beginning he was this rude jerk and in the end he realized "family is everything!" The character grew and had an arch. He wasn't the same character he was in the start.

Least favorite character.... I dislike all the Home on the Range characters...

I have! I wasn't that all impressed and all!! I am a HUGE Stitch fan, as some of you may know, but this didn't do me very well. When I got off the ride, I was, "What did I just go through?" It's so not worth it.

I have several least favorite Disney characters - Paul Pressler, Cynthia Harris, Michael Eisner, George Mitchell all of the budget slashing accountaneers, all of the paranoid, wimpy ride making Disney attorneys - and the biggest clown that remains with the company, Jay Rasulo. The only purpose that he serves is to rain on everybody's parade during his relentless mission to destroy impressive new rides and attractions before they have a chance to be built. Rasulo sucks, bites and blows I say!

Re: What is your least favorite Disney character?

Governor Radcliffe, one of the weakest excuses for a
Disney Villain. Not that any character in Pocahontas
(except for Meeko) had ANY type of appeal. Definitely
brought the 2nd golden age of Disney to a screaching
    hault.

Didn't care for quite a few of the characters in Atlantis,
most were so one dimensional, which made many annoying.

Annoying and horribly miscast are the words I would use to
describe Rosie's ape character in Tarzan. All her scenes
mucked up an otherwise good movie. She wanted a "Bare
Necessities" type song in the movie, and Phil Collin's just
couldn't deliver. They would have been much better off
    just scrapping the entire character.

Shawn Yu (villain in Mulan) didn't like this character, and there
just wasn't enough of the character to make be detest or have
any feelings one way or the other, especial when he's suppose
    to be the villain.

Ok, even though I kinda like the movie, and the music was phenomenal,
Home on the Range had a load of voices and characters you wouldn't
even want to eat, if they really were farm animals. Rosanne's should be
good acting like a cow, but surprisingly her acting smelled worse than
cattle lot in 90 degree heat. You would have though Cuba Gooding Jr
was playing the part of a chicken, 'cuz he sure laid an egg! Steve Buscemi
was good as Randall in Monster Inc. BUT he went back to the type of
character that he usually plays which is just so annoying that the movie
would be better off without him. AND we cannot forget (regrettably)
the absolutely atrocious voice of Grace the cow by Jennifer Tilly. I think
that covers all of the horrid casting in this movie. Most of the rest of the
cast were done very well, and I do like Randy Quaid as Alemeda Slim, just
enough of a bizarre twist on a villain (his hypnotic yodeling) to count him
as one of my favorites villains, and liked the Willie Bros. together teamed with
alemeda. Dame Dench was a great cow, and many of the supporting farm
animals were good too, Joe Flaherty as the goat, Estelle Harris made a great
chicken, Fun to have the departed Ann Richards get her shot as a Disney character.
So the movie wasn't a complete loss even though a good portion of the cast did
some of their worst work in this movie.

In Hunchback, could NOT stand the singing gargoyles, especially Jason Alexander. Even though his character in Seinfeld was a great character, the whole trio just didn't work.
It would have been SO MUCH BETTER if they would have left out a few scenes from this insipid ensembles song and dance routine. Now, I did like Kevin Kline's performance, and Demi More was good, too. However Paul Kandel as Clopin really got on my nerves.

I guess that's enough hating, for now. I had to thow in a couple "likes"
just to say that certain movie weren't a complete miscast.

Oh, I think SEVERAL of those were cast very well as Villains.
Some of the best Disney Characters are Villains! The ones you
mention are all great villains with different perspectives of how to
achieve that, and some just played the jobs as henchmen(women).

Paul and Cynthia with their initial smiling, beautiful exterior matches
those of Gaston, in Beauty and the Beast. Eisner, who appears to
be the charming prince that rescues Disneyland and the company
along with his brother, until Wells dies, and then the Evil Emperor
is unveilled ~ Scar would be rightly proud of Eisner. George Mitchell
who appears to be wise choice for the Disney Board, but upon closer
look he teams up with Eisner, to keep DL in chains of a building on
the cheap, Frolo and Lady Tremain would be pleased with Mitchell
keeping DL hostage and locked up. As for Jay Rasullo, his incompetence
as trying to "brand" every Disney Park the Same as each other , and insisting
on having this "dreams" promo, AND extending it a second year, THEN
Removing the Disney Gallery access for ALL Guests, sounds a little
like any of the evil villain sidekicks, or even the Beast before his
transformation back to being a human when he say
"Don't go to the east wing".

Oh, yes those are some of the BEST Villains Disney has ever had!

The characters from Valiant. I watched it on Disney Channel weeks ago and everything was just horrible. It looked like the characters were created with the same animation program used for VeggieTales!

The jokes were also flat and the characters had no significant personalities or characteristics in my opinion. Plus, who the heck was this film aimed after??? Does anyone here believe that many kids would want to see a film about birds who delivered messages during WWII??? Heck, most young kids don't even know much about WWII at their age.
