    Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays

Which do you use, or prefer?

At work, if someone is buying obvious Christmas stuff, they get a Merry Christmas. Otherwise, it is Happy Holidays. I don't have any problems with Happy Holidays.

You know what as long as there is a sentiment there. I mean I've had people say "Happy Hannukah" to me, okay... yeah I can see that. I've had Merry Christmas, again I could see that. But I mean as long as it's not "Well eff you too!"

Re: Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays

The thing is, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Chrismashanukwanzaa ... they are all sentiments of good tidings and joy.

So if your not Christian, and somebody wishes you a Merry Christmas, don't get offended.
If your not Jewish and somebody tells you Happy Channukah, don't get offended.
If your asian and somebody wishes you a Happy Kwanzaa, don't get offended.

Say thank you and Happy (whatever) back.

Plus, since when does wishing somebody a Merry Christmas have ANYTHING to do with the birth of Jesus?

Most people in this country, despite their beliefs celebrate Christmas anyway.

I agree, and way too many people get offended way too easily these days!
