    Taking Down Christmas

It's so depressing! I just took down the tree and all the nativities and doodads - my living room looks so empty!!!

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

    Re: Taking Down Christmas

We've been doing that for the past few days. I agree, it is sad to see all the pretty lights and festive decorations go, but I needed to make room and I didn't want to get too sick of it.

I took mine down yesterday and I am SO glad to be back to normal!

If you are feeling too bad, we are selling Valentines and St. Patty's day stuff at Michaels. I even saw a sign for Easter.

It is depressing. I felt so blah yesterday having to take down my decorations. I'm still not finished. I only did the tree yesterday.

I agree I hate taking it all down. I've been doing mine today. We had the prettiest tree ever this year, I hate seeing it go

    Re: Taking Down Christmas

Hubby started ours and I finished wrapping all the delicate ones and putting them away for next year. The only good news is that I have 3 new sets of Storybook Ornaments to put up for next year and whatever else I come across this year. We are now officially de-Christmas'd.

Yeah...it's always so fun putting it up, but so sad and such a drag to take it down. I took down all the Christmas cards today - we hang them. I think the various garlands will come down tomorrow and probalby the Christmas tree will be saved for the weekend. What I am dreading is taking down the house lights - ugh.

I didn't decorate, so all I had to do was take the cards I got down from atop the audio cabinet. Piece of cake.

My outdoor lights probably won't come down until March - as there's a foot of snow covering them up!

I did feel a little bit better after visiting a few local stores and picking up a bunch of 75% off Christmas items!!!!!

We hang ours too! My dad loves figuring out which ones match with what, so all the nature ones were together, picture ones, etc on the exposed beams in our house.

We took everything down today.Ehhh... Micechat is still in Christmas mode for me though!

    Re: Taking Down Christmas

I'm just too lazy to take them down lol
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Re: Taking Down Christmas

I'm still not taking anything down. Kid's still home from school so we're still a bit on holiday. I'm never in a hurry to take the decorations down.
