I came from a middle class home, large family, quite normal for the 60's and 70's. Remember the Brady Bunch, Partridge family and Eight is enough? Uh, huh, my point-exactly.
Anyway, we had cereal, cream of wheat and oatmeal available for breakfats because it was very "economical", (eggs and bacon only came on Sundays).
Being St. Partrick's Day today, and all, I'm reminded of the Lucky Charms cereal, (the magically delicious one) and remembered that my favorite cereal varied a bit, sure Cheerios were always good, but you had to sprinkle with sugar, Rice Crispies (the cereal that talked to you in the mornig when no one else will) was good, then came Cocoa Puffs, mmmm, and Trix, oh sure mom tried Kix on us, no fly though... my favorite was Capt. Crunch for a while, then Lucky Charms.
What's was (is) your favorite cereal?
