    Chippewa Lake (abandoned amusement park)

Here are some pictures from an abandoned amusement park:

Just thought it was interesting and would share.

    Btw, I'm really not eight.

So I'm sitting at my computer thinking, hey, I need a creative signature so that people on micechat will remember me. And then it hits me: I'll just type it up!
    I sure am creative.

It's so sad to see a great looking coaster just left to rot. May it rest in peace. It looked like a great ride. Is there anything else left of the Theme Park other than the gate ruins and coaster bones? What a shock to corner a stag in the coaster ruins. Great picture with the eyes staring out. Good idea to keep your distance.

Re: Chippewa Lake (abandoned amusement park)

We were next door to there for a wedding over the summer. My dad (who grew up in cleveland) has shown me pictures of what it used to look like and how a relitive had a cabin there and such. Sad to see what it now looks like.
He said it's hard to get into and that one time he had seen video and pictures of the burned-out ballroom.

That is a great video. I wonder why they left it -- why not tear it down instead of just abandoning it?

^^ I was thinking the same thing. Unbelievable it operated for 100 years and then left to rot.

Very cool photos, but, also really depressing at the same time. Nothing worse than seeing a place where so many had a great time, now in shambles!
