I'm terrified of clowns, bugs, and seaweed. No good reason for the first 2, but when I was a kid I got tangled up in seaweed and nearly drowned. It was terrifying and now I get the heebie jeebies just looking at the stuff. *shudders*

Getting trapped underwater

Small crowded places,

Really panicky on planes if I'm not in the window seat-- Like if things went nuts on the plane I could just go out the window? Don't know what my reasoning is there.

And like others have said--the loss of control thing.

I just remembered another fear. I do not like being on ships. I love reading about them, but I get slight to severe panic attacks when I go on one. I have never been on a cruise, but one day i will just to get over my fear.

I always wanted to dive, but the fear of sharks made me not learn for a long time. I was all ready to dive in lakes so i would not encounter a shark, but after doing research I realized it's actually pretty rare to come a cross a shark in the ocean ...especially a great white. So, I learned to dive in the ocean...

...oddly the dive boat did not scare me. I didn't like looking up at it from underwater, but I was fine on that. I guess it's just large ships I don't like.

I think that is normal. I was checking on my daughter to make sure she was still breathing until she was 12. When she was a baby I would wake up several times during the night to check on her. ...yeah, I'm a bit neurotic.....

Clowns

Anyone / anything touching the front of my neck. I hate turtlenecks or anyone playing around and mock choking me. If sends me into a panic.

Darkness + Water i.e. pools, lakes, oceans. I am ok with moonlight, but if there is no light then I freak out even if I am not in the water.

Me too!!! I am also crazy afraid of snakes.I can't place a reason I'm afraid (other than their complete grossness), I just always have been. Unfortunately, I came across one recently...

Fish. I'm deathly afraid. Live fish, dead fish and photos of fish they all terrify me.

Finding Nemo was okay though. They had eyebrows.
