Revlon Run/Walk

Hello All!

I will be participating in my 5th year in the Revlon Run/Walk in NYC. This is for the fight against breast cancer. It is an absolutely horrible disease and every pledge helps them get another step closer to a cure.

The walk in on May 3rd.

I will be the team captain for the second year of Curves, Lakewood here in Los Angeles. This will be my 4th year walking. See my sig below. Unfortunately I am not getting the response and the number of people walking that I did last year. Not sure why.

yes. this year for getting team member is hard. i think its the gas prices, along with everything else.

The band/entertainment for the celebration concert in Los Angles has not been announced yet.

Getting into Los Angeles, even really early on Saturday morning, is a real hassle. Last year we had enough team members to get a bus and have a parking space. Even then we were late due to traffic and missed the opening. This year we are going to take the Blue Line to Pico Station and ride on one of the free buses provided by Revlon. I did this two years ago and it worked out swell. But there are people who are afraid of the Blue Line, do not want to drive there, afraid of that area of Los Angeles, etc. One lady is convinced she will be shot by gang bangers if she goes there. Nothing I could say would convince her otherwise. Also all this news about a recession and the gas prices going up are factors. Oh, well ... we do what we can
