Smile What Should You Always Keep In Your Vehicle?

I want to be more prepared for disaster, (i.e. lost, accident, stranded, ect. ) so I am packing a medium plastic bin with some thing that I may ever need if in a situation.

    So far I've got:
    • Duct Tape
    • Flares
    • WD-40
    • 2 California Maps
    • 1 Blanket
Does anyone have some suggestions of what I should keep in my car at all times?

bottled water and cans of tuna and/or chili along with power bars and a change of clothes

i keep all that (except the bottled water) in my car, especially during the winter due to the snow we get
Will there be screams when the sun sets,

I have a first aid kid (just a small one), a blanket, water, some snacks (usually granola bars), a flashlight and one of those hammer things with the seat belt cutter on it.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

    Don't forget the can opener
Also, waterproof matches. And a shovel if you are travelling in snow.

I always keep bottled water and a warm change of clothes.

Oh, and a can of Fix-a-Flat, since I do not know how to change a flat tire!

Re: What Should You Always Keep In Your Vehicle?

    I have:

    A basic first aid kit.
    Flashlight.
    Blanket in the winter.
A portable battery charger so I don't need a jump if the battery dies.
    Bottled water.

And, the one thing I've had to ACTUALLY use once or twice in emergencies over the last six years:

    Toilet Paper.

I'll look up on her behalf.

Re: What Should You Always Keep In Your Vehicle?

I know this might sound crazy, but I like to keep an emergency $20 bill in my car somewhere. I use my credit card a lot so there might be sometimes where I have a buck on me and I have run into a few places that don't take credit card. You never know if you might need to buy another map, bottle of water, Advil, etc...

    A disposeable digital camera?
Undeveloped film is affeccted by heat, so a year of sitting in the trunk may mess it up.
