    Remember the 70's?

I loved the seventies. The eighties were better for me yes, but the seventies were pretty carefree. My teenage years.

I loved Happy days .. Sunday, Monday happy days...

My favorite 70's movie... we drooled over this car...

    ...speaking of drooling.... eh-hem...

Did EVERY kid on the block have one of these? Seems that all I heard on Saturday morning was the sound of these things.

    Breaker, breaker!

Yes! I definitely remember them. YMCA, The Hustle, Grease, Saturday Night Fever - it was really a fun decade!

The 80's were even better - I started high school in 1979, so most of my teen years were later.

I was born in March of 1979 so I was here for less than 9 months of the 70's, no recollection of them whatsoever

    Re: Remember the 70's?

I was born in 1958 so pretty much all of my teen years were in the 70's. (Class of 77!)

At the time it didn't seem like a very special time, but age gives us better hindsight, and I now realize just how great a time it was. Maybe its only because looking back I miss having so few real responsibilities, and it seems like it was a much more simple, gentle time. But then again, maybe anyone, once they get into those upper years, pushing the half century mark, will look back and think the same thing about the years of their youth. Can you picture 30 years from now thinking the same thing about this time in history??

Aaaaahhh the 70's. I was a teenager in the 80's, so all my 70's memories are kiddie fun...the pot smoking baby sitter who would give my sister and me cigarettes so we wouldn't tell my mom she was smoking pot (she could have saved herself the trouble, I had no idea what pot was), then she would take us down to the American river with her friends and let us swing off the rope tied under the bridge. Now my sister and I just reminisce about it and thank God we were good swimmers.

Laverne and Shirley, now that is good 70's fun. I still love the one where they win the race through the super market and only end up with Scooter Pies and...???...oh my gosh, I've forgotten the ending, I'll have to hunt down a re-run!!!

I graduated in 1979 and my senior portrait was in this huge, round backed wicker chair. I KNOW you'd know what I meant if you saw one! haha!

I was born in 1974, so I have some vague, muddled memories of the 70's. I vividly remember my first trip to WDW, which was in 1978.

My favorite thing to come out of the 70's

I wasn't born until 1984 but the 70's seemed like an awesome era to live in.
