I was sleeping at home. I was also only 14 when it happened.

Thanks aladdin! A 2.1 earthquake compared to the Northridge earthquake is like comparing a class 5 hurricane to morning dew.

I was not there for Northridge, but I was at Disneyland for the Landers and Big Bear quakes of 1992. Landers was a 7.3 and Bear was 6.4. Nothing like being on the 14th floor of the Paradise Pier Hotel (then known as the Pan Pacific Hotel) during an earthquake. Ahh good times (not really).

    Re: An Earthquake at DL

September 2nd, 2007 was a super hot day. It was also a day that a small earthquake hit Disneyland. My friend and I were on Indy so we didn't feel a thing. Every single ride had to be shut down to do a safety check. Not a good thing when it's hot and people are grumpy/pissed. I think it only took 10-15 mins to do a safety check, it felt like forever but I think that was just the heat.

Been sitting at the Paradise Pier Hotel all night long (From the 1st floor) and I didn't feel a thing... Wouldn't have even known there was one had it not been for this post... Lol... Guess I am not very observant...

While I was working in San Francisco, we had a small little 3 pointer. Now, being on the the 30th floor, it didn't feel so small...

Try being 15 miles from the epicenter of the Landers quake.... Ok, I wasn't 14 floors up but it certainly was a rude awakening first thing in the morning!

Ouch, hope everyone's okay! Glad to hear it was a small one at least.

That being said, "Excuse me, Mother Nature, could you NOT destroy DL before I get to visit it for the first time? Thanks!" LOL
