    Talking Towel Animals

I know a lot of you have taken cruises and and have come back to your room to see these stange towel animals taking up your bed. It amazes me the hundreds of different animals that can be made from a couple of towels.

While on our Disney repositioning cruise a couple of weeks ago, we had a chance to see 14 different towel animals. A couple of them, we weren't
quite sure what they were, but took a guess.

So, let's see your towel animals! Here are mine:

We weren't sure about this one, but guessing a whale:

    Swans

    Stingray:

    Elephant:

    Dog:

    Lobster:

    Alligator:

This one was another mystery (frog, gecko, other????)

    Duck? Goose? Muscle-bound Swan?????

    Giant Turtle:

Whew, finally one I knew for sure...a Snake:

    Peacock (this was my favorite):

Lion King (this was a blanket animal):

And for our last night, another mystery. Maybe a rabbit???

I'd say the first one is a shark. Please note the tail of the shark is a vertical tail. If it was a whale, it'd be horizontal.

The other one looks like an animal with it's tail up in the air pooping chocolates

We had a couple on our little cruise - Holland America offered a book on how to make towel animals, so I bought it for my boys.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

    Re: Towel Animals

Nice seeing them all at one time, they look much clearer as to what they were now (after the fact)!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Those are all amazing! The alligator looks more like a manatee to me, though.

On our cruise back in '01, we had one dangling from the ceiling by a single "arm" and wearing our son's sunglasses.

Disney had a book on making towel animals too (it's probably the same one). We did have a towel animal class one day and made the elephant, the puppy, and a monkey. My elephant and puppy came out good, but the monkey just looked like a bunch of wadded up towels

That was probably a monkey, they usually hang them from somewhere in your room. We missed our monkey night because my roomate wasn't feeling well (poor thing), and the room steward couldn't come in.

Dangitall Matt - now that's what I see too when I'm sure it was a bird or something.
