I'm back from Portland! A trip report.

Hi All,
I had a really great time in Portland. Since i've never been to Portland before or anywhere in OR, i was quite the shutter bug so i will keep it light.
I was there for 4 days and got home last night. The weather was beautiful and cool and I really wish I could have stayed longer. I was not looking forward to coming back to the awful SoCal heat! ICK!

I also got to visit Washington Park which is a giant beautiful park in Portland!

On the way to the park, we stopped at Pittock Mansion. Ownded by one of the founding members of Portland it was built in the early 1900s.

If you put money in her basket, she'd "wake up" and act like a mechanical doll. It was pretty amazing actually.
I wish i had taken a video of it.

If she wasn't "awake", she was completely still.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to my hometown. I lived there pretty much my whole life; I moved to Arizona last year. Portland is a great town but I'm much happier in the warmth and sunshine of Arizona.

great pics! i have never been to portland but hope to go and visit soon since my hubby wants to move there one day... isnt portland the city of roses?
i love roses and that park was beautiful!!

I don't know if it's the city of roses, but i do know that the rose is the state flower!
And i can see why! They are everywhere and apparently grow very well!
Everyone who has a yard has at least one rose bush!
