Micechatters and then some up in NorCal for the 4th of July weekend

The 4th of July has always been a big event in my family and this weekend we had a total of 41 people altogether. You may recognize some of the Micechat folks in these pictures.

    Trekkie Dad's wife and Spidergirrl

Hollywood1939, MaryAnn in Wonderland, and her husband (i'm not sure of his screen name)

My husband Westley (Ken in real life) washing the truck for the parade which we decided not to be in

Simply Sabrina, Superstacie, me , Chernabog, and Just John up at Mission Springs where we ate cotton candy, snow cones and icecream sundaes

The next day we all went up to SF where we had a picnic at the Palace of Fine Arts and then drove across the Golden Gate Bridge since some people had never done that:

Then we waited in a line of cars for an hour to spend less than a minute going down Lombard Street, but it was totally worth it. After that it was down to Pier 39 where we want around and then had drinks and dinner at Bubba Gumps.

    And got a little crazy!

    We saw a beautiful sunset

Awww, nothing like snuggling with loved ones:

On Sunday, whoever was still here went out to breakfast in my hometown and then we just sat on my front porch and gabbed. It was a great weekend with family and friends!

When we talked to some of your wild bunch Friday night it sounded like you were all having a blast and your pictures prove its true. What better time than 4th of July weekend to be with friends and loved ones.

    ^You're so right Pratt!

Of the 41 people , 5 slept in the master bedroom, 3 slept in C and B's room, 2 slept in Kyle's room , 2 slept in Tiffany's room, 3 slept in the living room, 5 slept in the basement, and 13 slept in tents, 3 went back home for the night and 5 wimped out and stayed at hotels. I won't tell you who the wimps were! LOL

I can't figure out where Ken's put the rest of the videos and pictures.

There's one in particular which I'm sure he hid so I wouldn't post it!

Just John brought a karaoke machine and you know how usually everyone's shy about singing? Well in this bunch , almost everyone was clamoring for the mics and we had some very good entertainment.

I am going to take a guess that Skywaygirl once more tried to sneak into bed with the gorgeous Westley... So that counts 3 in the master bed, who were you sneaking in?

P.S. I want to see the hidden picture.

^ Nope, Skywaygirl was on the couch in the living room and Ken and I were in a tent .

My sister and her family slept in our master bedroom.

    Shocker Batman...

Super funny guy. Never offer him a banana...

Simply Sabrina, Superstacie, me , Chernabog, and Just John up at Mission Springs where we ate cotton candy, snow cones and icecream sundaes

The cotton candy and snow cones were 50 cents each! The girl working the cotton candy machine was a little stingy with the fluff though, but hey, how can you complain at that price?

The next day we all went up to SF where we had a picnic at the Palace of Fine Arts and then drove across the Golden Gate Bridge since some people had never done that:

    Windy as heck!

Then we waited in a line of cars for an hour to spend less than a minute going down Lombard Street, but it was totally worth it. After that it was down to Pier 39 where we want around and then had drinks and dinner at Bubba Gumps.

It was funny watching the people in front of us peel out everytime we had to move up the hill. Going down is kind of freaky. I would hate to live on that street and have to deal with the tourists all day.

Pier 39 was really fun. Bubba Gumps was great as always. We had the bucket of boat trash and the dipping pot. Both are highly recommended.

One more thing, they get how to do it there. People park a bit of a distance away. When the sun went down it got REALLY COLD REALLY FAST. There was a store that sold nice jackets and sweatshirts starting at $15. I picked up zip up hooded sweatshirts for both of us for less than one sweatshirt at DL.

    And got a little crazy!

    Always with the butt pinching...

    We saw a beautiful sunset

If you add this caption to the picture above, it would actually be a moonrise...

    The sunset was beautiful though

Awww, nothing like snuggling with loved ones:

I honestly don't know when I have met two more freindly and outgoing people in my life. D and M were so much fun to hang out with and I can't wait until we get to see them again!

Your kids have are a testiment to your parenting skills.beautiful The fact that the girls went out of their way to entertain all the little ones and NEVER lost their patience was beautiful!

It really was a great weekend. We were supposed to come home on Saturday, but the weekend was so perfect, that we decided to stay an extra day. Hanging out with Skywaygirl, Hollywood, LL, lil LL, D. M, you and your family on Saturday was worth the 7 hour drive by itself.

What great pictures! Sure looks like everyone had a good time. I'd like to make it up there next year, if you will have me.
