American Pie 4: Band Camp

Ok folks I have to post that I just got back from seeing a special screening of American Pie: Band Camp. It was funny as all Helsinki. The story this time around is as follows. Stiflers little brother is now a junior in high school and get busted pulling a prank on the band at graduation. So as a punishment the guidance console, The Sherminator, sends him to band camp for the summer. My personal thought on this film is it is as good as the first. The new cast along with Eugene Levy reprise as Jim's dad/ camp counselor are great. As with the original and sequels this film is not for the younger crowd. They were testing it here to see if they would release it to theater or straight to DVD. Either way it is a must on my list.

Is it the same kid who played Stiflers Brother in the first 3 movies? That kid was kind of annoying ... but the premise definately sounds good.

I'm leary of the original cast not being in it though. Jason Biggs was just too great as Jim. Truly one of the best comedic roles ever.

No it is a new guy playing the younger brother. I was leary too about a new cast but it worked really well.

It seemed pretty lame when we were filming it. A lot of band jokes that aren't even close to being real or true. A lot of stereotypes. Really felt like I was selling my soul! But yeah, don't expect too much...

I hate Hollywood...Every time I hear something like this, it always discourages the dream of being a director. With the exception of LOTR, there have really not been any memorable movies (films that will go down as classics) in a number of years.
