A hilarious British comedy, Death at a Funeral. It was one of those quiet movies where suddenly everything goes completely wrong and you find yourself alternately cringing and laughing throughout.
    A signature should go here.

^^ I want to see that!

I just watched Teen Wolf. Hadn't seen it in years (got it with Teen Wolf Too as a double feature for $5 at Target).

Now I'm watching Smokey & the Bandit II on CMT.

Re: The "What Movie did you just see" thread STRIKES BACK

Last movies I've seen were Dark Knight, Wall-E, Cars, Sleeping Beauty, Ratatouille, Iron Man, and PotC1 on Blu-Ray and Step Brothers and Mamma Mia on regular DVD. I've been watching a good amount of films since the holidays since all TV shows seem to be on reruns.

Can't wait til' Eagle Eye and Pineapple Express come out on DVD this upcoming week! I saw both in the theaters and loved em!

Love Actually-I never got to watch it over Christmas, I so love this movie.

Stir of Echos- The older boys had never seen it, I knew they'd like it. Good flick.

Resident Evil(the second one)-I had never seen the first one, this one completely sucked me, I missed a bit of it, I need to see the whole thing.

Great movie! I finally saw it for the first time just before Christmas. I was ROFL at the part where Bill Nighy says Britney Spears was rubbish.

    Recently I watched:

Goya's Ghosts: Really good movie by Milos Forman. They made Natalie Portman look hideous in this movie.

Casino Royale: The recent one with Daniel Craig. Great movie although my DVD has an audio problem. Apparently there was a batch of DVDs that had this problem where the sound goes quiet for a few seconds throughout the movie. I might upgrade to the 3-disc collector's edition. Hopefully the new edition doesn't have the audio problem. Apparently the problem has something to do with Sony's pirating feature.

X2: X-Men United: Great sequel. Hopefully this summer's Wolverine prequel will be just as good.

    Double Animation Feature!

Kung Fu Panda- The more I watch this movie, the more I like it. It has a very good story, and I also caught some of the hidden things in there. Like, for example, Po admitted that he was hurt being called fat and stupid but he stayed because he knew that Shifu could change him. That is deep right there, dude.

Sleeping Beauty- Third time seeing it since I got the DVD. It does have an okay story, but I left with a happy feeling afterward.

I'm about to watch The World's Greatest Athlete. I haven't seen it in YEARS and recorded it off TCM last week. Tim Conway was the man.

Jumper- This was the weirdest movie. I felt like the plot was jumping. It was very distracting. Not even Samuel Jackson and Hayden Christensen could save this movie. I'm glad I didn't pay big bucks to see it in the theatre.

There's an uncut version? That's in my top 10 favorite movies, so I should have known!

I just got back from Marley and Me. I saw it with Gabe (who liked the beach scenes). At first I was weird on the casting, but I grew to like it. I started crying as soon as Marley sat with Jenny post- badness and cried until the end.

I found it on an Encore channel. There are SO many scenes that weren't in the original.

I'm not sure I can go see this movie. I loved loved the book, but I cried too much then!

Re: The "What Movie did you just see" thread STRIKES BACK

I just got back from Universal Hollywood's IMAX theater from watching The Day The Earth Stood Still. I was very disapointed mostly with the fact that the famous line, "Gort, Klatu Barada Nicto" was left out after being told by the producers that it would be in. The robot was never spoken to by Klatu and was named G.O.R.T. by our military not by Katu's people. And I can't even remember the stupid meaning those letters had. The biggest disappointment came at the end. There wasn't one. No resolution, no goodbyes, no nothing. And I am not talking about the kind of no end that leads to a sequel. This leads nowhere and was a big disappointment, which is a shame as the story, special effects, sets and acting was all perfect. But it just was nowhere near as special as the original version was. I am not even sure I want it on DVD. Very sad as I was hoping it would be a good redo, but it's not. Stick with the Original. It's 100% better.
