EARTH -- Really enjoyed seeing the fantastic footage from Discovery Channel's Planet Earth. Narration by Darth Vader was superb and the original score was great too.

Taken
One of the best action thriller type movies I've seen in awhile.

Star Trek-For not being a Trekkie, I really enjoyed this movie. Eric Bana was such a good villain, Chris Pine did a geat job as James Kirk, and Zachary Quinto was extra hot as Spock. Now, I'm making my hubby get the original Star Trek series on DVD. I want to get know the characters personalities.
Star Trek Like Ginarella, I am not a Trekkie. I watched the TV series when I was little but have never seen the movies. I really liked this movie, though.
Jesus Camp.
Holy C**p!
I totally agree with you. Watched that a few days ago and just kept shaking my head. How did Slumdog win over this? Especially now that the kids who were in that movie are still living in the slums. I guess $340 million was not enough to spread around.
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian - Cute movie but not as cute as the first one. Don't think I'll be buying this one and watching again. Too many characters. Amy Adams was adorable though. Is there anything she can't do?
Had a movie/rental marathon last night:
Ghost Town- It was okay. I think it's more of a parent-rental/50+ rental. It reminded me of old Hollywood.
Role Models- Really funny. Really geeky. What was surprising about it is how much heart it had. The commercials came across as "ah these jerks are going to have to be big brothers... They're going to do everything wrong." But in reality, that was the first 10 minutes, then it was like "Maybe they're not perfect but no one is." I mean a movie with Paul Rudd and Stiffler had me crying at the end.
Fanboys-I wanted to see this movie for a long time, and I'm on the fence about it. I wanted to love it. I'm a geeky fan girl, so I wanted this to be the movie about people like me. And it was. But I wanted it to be funnier. It felt like all the funny stuff was in the trailers. The main cast was hot (seriously hot fanboys) and very fleshed out, even Jay Barchel (sp?) was hot in this movie. Kristin Bell was adorable. The cameos were funny (although I could tell when Kevin Smith filmed his scenes). I just wanted more...
Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian. It was horrible.
I am amazed it beat out Terminator Salvation this weekend.
Wolverine-I liked it much more than I thought I would

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
It either needed to be funnier or the cancer thing needed to be... I liked listening to the commentary and hearing that the guy who played Linus, Chris Marquette, kept joking he was going to slip Carrie Fisher the tongue and then she did it and gave him her number. That was funny.
I'm not. I saw TS last Thursday and haven't been too favorable about it when my friends ask me what I thought of it.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and The Dark Knight - Had a BBQ/potluck at my place over the weekend, for friends and I to just hang out for the day and be gluttonous, and these were the flicks requested for viewing during the day.
