All of this activity is being observed from a high, cliff-side structure by a human figure – an older, bearded Kevin Flynn! Played again by Jeff Bridges, a very serene looking Flynn appeared first in a meditative position in the center of a large room. He arises, then walks to the window and peers down onto the action below.
I hope the dude was meditating with a White Russian in hand. After he watches the lightcycle action, Flynn goes bowling.
The one thing I didn't like as much.. was I always like the light cycles as straight lines and 90 deg turns. I always felt this was about the stark binary world of the computer. There are no curves, only more small straight lines in an arc, etc. But in this video we see the light walls curving, the bikes basically in free form.
Yes in Tron, the bikes also move freely once off the game grid, but without the light walls.
I felt the 'space suit' like masks and free flow of the footage shown felt less 'digital computer' to me...
