Haha. Its funny you say that because I have a friend working on the film who essentially said she thought the same thing. She said it felt like Disney was trying to copy itself and compared the film to All Dogs go to Heaven which features its own singing alligator and that creepy child Snow White beauty pageant looking girl

He's this film's Sebastian. If you were not upset by him, you shouldn't be upset by this little fella.

If she works on it she obviously doesn't work with the people on the budget. Mine do, and it DOESN'T have a "limited" budget. Not unless you consider the budgets of Mermaid, Alladin and Wall-E to have such budgets?

You seem to be referring to The Princess and the Frog. We were discussing Enchanted.

Woopsie. I'm sorry thats my fault. I thought the Don Bluth comment was aimed at Princess and The Frog. And refering to Princess and the Frog, my comment still applies.

My friend isn't working on the budget. She's on visual developement and in very close contact with the animators, storyboard artists, directors, etc. I really don't know anything about the budget of the film.

Bad.....Bad......Bad.....not the triumphant comeback I wanted for the animation department. Rapunzel should have been the comeback kid. And someone call Randy Newman and Disney and Pixar and tell them that he can't sing. That lightning bug is white trash and I do not embrace white trash. BAD BAD BAD! What a shame. Let's face it, this is NOT going to appeal to the masses, not that it has to, but at least make an effort. Not interested and not racing out opening day. Rapunzel 2010? I'm there.

Huh... Randy Newman. Really? I mean, really? He's not the person I would have picked to set the tone of a princess movie based in New Orleans. The firefly certainly was different and the princess was cute, but Randy Newman?! Seriously?!?

Ugh. He's great for a buddy movie, but that's it as far as I'm concerned.

You're basing all this on a four second gimmicky teaser?

The Princess and the Frog is a simple tale, yet it has an interesting plot twist that will keep the audience engaged. It's obvious to me that disney intends here to appeal to kids and adults alike - odifferent levels.

Based on the teaser (which is not enough to fully have an opinion) I am gonna line up in the haters queue.

    Nessie is a short film.

The director, Stevie Wermers is one of the co-directors from How to Hook Up your Home Theater. Also the first female Disney director. When she attended CalArts she did a film about the Lock Ness Monster.

The new artwork is gorgeous! (And screams for a NOS tie in).
