    Rank Those Universal Monsters!

So what are your favorite Universal Studio Monster films? I've recently discovered them this summer and found them to be alot of fun. Here's my ranking of the ones I've seen so far.

    1. The Phantom of the Opera (1925)
    2. The Invisible Man (1933)
    3. Dracula (1931)
    4. The Mummy (1931)
    5. The Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954)
    6. Frankenstein (1931)

and if were counting it, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) would be 3rd. I also will soon see:

    The Wolf-Man (1941)
    Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Return of the Invisible Man (1940)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939)
The Phantom of the Opera (1943) (is it worth seeing?)
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1941 or whatever the one with Spencer Tracy is)
I like The Happiest Millionaire. What's wrong with that?

    Re: Rank Those Universal Monsters!

I've got the whole Universal Monster Legacy series on DVD, so I got all the originals and their sequels. For me I think Frankenstein is the best. I love them all though.

Angie_Duke, be sure to watch The Wolfman as the remake is coming out next year.

I just did today and enjoyed it quite alot.

I am however getting really tired of these constant sub-par remakes Hollywood keeps cooking up. No doubt this version will be all gore and no sympathy for the monster.

I just read today that The Invisible Man is being worked on too, it's at the writing stage.

There was supposed to be a Creature From the Black Lagoon remake too but I don't know what happened to it. Here's the IMDB page, Creature From the Black Lagoon, it has a release date of next year.
