I always thought Columbia Pictures/Walden Media's movie titled The Waterhorse that was released a few months back would have been a corny children's movie. But today I finally saw it on PPV and I actually enjoyed it.
I loved the historical aspect of it and I loved the humor associated with those two, old fisherman.
But I especially loved the Irish accent all the actors had. I think the kid who played Angus really did a good job portraying the character.
Anyway, basically, it's a good family friendly film about an Irish boy who's father was on duty with the military during WWII. I forget which military it was that he was on tour with though. The boy finds true friendship in this sea creature he found and treated it just like his father treated him. But with friendship, the boy comes to realize that decisions need to be made for the best of all living beings. He needs to realize that sometimes his wants are not as important as the needs of his new found pet.
That's as far as I will go with that.
Has anyone else seen it? What do you think?
