    National Treasure 3

Some news about National Treasure 3:

National Treasure 3 Officially in the Works!

Today at the Walt Disney Studios Showcase, both Jerry Bruckheimer and Nicolas Cage came out on stage to officially announce the third film in the National Treasure franchise. Disney Chairman Richard W. Cooke, who presided over the event, invited the two men to step in front of the audience. He then asked, “How come Ben Gates never gets arrested?” And with that, Cage answered, “I guess well find out with National Treasure 3, wont we?”

Plot details were not discussed, but it was made clear that director Jon Turteltaub would be back behind the camera, with most of the original cast returning as well. The film is currently in development.

While no release date was announced, the film is rumored to be scheduled for the holiday season, 2010.
I wonder if we'll find out what's on page 47?

I'm glad to see another Treasure movie is coming out. Though I'm still more excited about another Pirates movie.

First Johnny, now Nick? How does on get to be invited to these events where actors just show up willy-nilly? What a great day for Disney Studios!

That's great! I have the first two movies! I like to show them to my 5th grade class because it does deal with American history but with more action.

    My best score ever!

meh. the first one was really good. but the second one was just rediclous (why where their aztecs in south dakota)

it's like these movies are trying to be a modern day indiana jones, but without the fist fights, shoot outs and great action scenes that made indiana jones great. Their trying to be kid friendly about it. and IMHO it really dosent work

I feel like it isn't trying to be anything like Indiana Jones. It's just making a very interesting movie that puts a fun spin on History. They're nothing alike, at least in my eyes.

I just can't wait for this movie. I wonder when they will come out with an official release date?
