I think it definitely has a Tim Burton look to it, along the lines of Sleepy Hallow. I'm really looking forward to seeing this film, even if I have to wait a long time still. I have to say I'm surprised there's photos already.

Patience, Onut! The whimsical will probably come with the CGI. This movie isn't set for release until 2010. We've got lots of time to wait!

I assume that these photos are from the filming of the first few scenes. Is Bonham-Carter playing Alice's sister?
The departure of Alice's costume from the traditional suggests that Burton wants to distance himself from all previous retellings. I love Burton's work and look forward to this but suspect that it may come up against the traditionalist backlash that greeted Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
