Celebrate the holidays Los Angeles Conservancy-style,
with a classic film in a historic movie palace!

See the musical on the big screen at the Los Angeles Theatre in downtown’s Broadway Historic Theatre district. There is no better way to see a classic film than in a breathtaking classic movie palace like the Los Angeles.

The 1954 holiday favorite, White Christmas stars Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye, and Vera-Ellen. See and hear the fun and often humorous song and dance numbers performed by the famous quartet.

The most lavish and last built (1931) of Broadway’s great movie palaces, the Los Angeles Theatre was designed by S. Charles Lee with S. Tilden Norton. It recalls the glories of the French Baroque, with a majestic lobby featuring fluted columns, sparkling chandeliers, detailed plaster ornamentation, and a sunburst motif alluding to France’s “Sun King,” Louis XIV. The stage curtain depicts a courtly scene in three dimensions, with figures clothed in real fabric and wigs of braided wool.
