Four Christmases, Bejamin Button, the Jim Carrey one, the Tom Cruise one...
Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
Considering how picky I am about movies... I'm still working on ones I wanted to see from at least 5 years ago.
I'm still working on movies I haven't seen made decades before I was born. I'm at 134 since mid June now, not including recent re-watches (Sherlock, Jr. (1924) is the most recent) and I figure I have about 50 left that I really want to see.
In terms of upcoming movies, it's just Coraline. Have to see Milk soon though.
I like The Happiest Millionaire. What's wrong with that?
Well from this year, I want to see Seven Pounds, The Spirit, Frost/Nixon, Benjamin Buttons and that's it.
For 2009...a much bigger list....UP, Watchmen, Terminator : Extinction, Ponyo on the cliff, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Inglorious Basterds, HP - Half Blood Prince, and I am sure more will develop that aren't buzzworthy yet.
Valkrie would have looked like a good movie to me had they cast someone other than Tom Cruise. He just looks way too ridiculous to be taken seriously IMO.
I can't wait to see Pixar's Up. I'm also waiting for Transformers 2 and Harry Potter. Terminator looks really good as well. Maybe Star Trek because Abrams got a good cast and he's trying to get viewers who have never seen a Star Trek movie before. Other than that, not off the top of my head.
-"Marley and Me," the book is one of my all time favorites and I'm a lab owner/puppy raiser. I know it's going to set me into tears (more than "Bolt").
-"Bride Wars." Only because I know it'll be cheesy and bad but sometimes you need that!
I think I'm seeing "Doubt" when it comes out on DVD. Looks good, but nuns creep me out.
