Um, I thought that was Diamond Lil...Emma Frost, if I remember, was something of a telepath. And a member of the Hellfire Club.
Peace,

She was and is. Emma Frost is a telepath and was a member of the Hellfire Club as the white queen. She is still a telepath but is now a member of the X-Men. She manifested a secondary mutation when Genosha was attacked by the Sentinels to basically turn into a living diamond. Her telepathy does not work when she is in this state. She was one of the few, if not only survivors of the Genosha Massacre.
Diamond Lil has a aura that protects her and makes her invulnerable. She does not, however, turn into a diamond. She is also a burnette, whereas the woman in the trailer is a blonde.
beat me to it, lol
I was gonnasay, i had my geek meltdown when the first one was leaked. this one didn't compare...
example.
at the en when he's talking to Sabertooth, he says "i'm gonna tear your head off, see if that works" the original was much more Logan-y..."...tear your GD head off..."
Is this film being made with the intent of matching up with the previous three X-Men films? Is the Wolverine backstory that was explored in X1 and X2 going to work with the new Orgins film? Is William Stryker (played by Brian Cox) coming back - it didn't look like he was there?
I hope so. Otherwise, there's no need to attach "X-Men" to the name of the film.
Other than that, the movie looks okay. I was much more excited for this film before seeing the trailer, to be honest. It looks a little cheesy. I have faith that Hugh Jackman will be amazing as usual... but there's only so much Hugh can do to save this film.
Why can't Bryan Singer come back to rescue to X-Men franchise?
Hugh Jackman is looking pretty darn good. Can't wait!
I'm a little excited by this. Ryan Reynolds (drool) and Hugh Jackman in the same movie? Yay!
The intention is to make other origin stories from the X-Men franchise, such as Magneto, so that's why I would imagine it's there (to create a whole new series).
The trailer looks cool. Can't wait for the film. Is the little blonde girl supposed to be a young Storm?
This is intended to match up somewhat. Remember, Wolvie's own recollection of whats happened in his past was never too accurate til recently anyway, and there really wasnt too much revealed in 1 and 2 in the first place other than he got his claws in Alaska (should be Canada, but meh, Bryan Singer ruined my X-films anyway)
The character is coming back, but is being played by Danny Huston this time. Brian Cox wanted to come abck and wanted them to use the digital skin-grafting technique they used on Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan in X3. (It adds a little more weight to what Stryker says to Wolvie in X2 about him aging a bit anyway)
because there is a God ;)
