I don't see a lot of movies in the theater. I will definitely be watching this one in the theater.
I think from a bookkeeping standpoint, Disney made a great choice here in debuting their Disneynature brand. No production costs for filming and crew and the material, which has only been broadcast on television to my knowledge, deserves the big screen treatment, both in terms of picture quality and narrative content. And those theatre-goers who have never watched the original episodes will be in for a huge treat! Of course, that makes me wonder, as an owner of the Blu-ray of Planet Earth, "Do I need to add this one to my collection too?"

Sigur Ros has taken off since one of their songs appeared in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and then Disney used them again for the end credits song on Roving Mars.
