I bet you can't answer this question about Pixar..

So now that Pixar is owned by Disney, my question is, is there a special Pixar nametag issued to persons working there, not unlike the ones issued to cast working at the Studios and Feature animation?

    Nametag for the Studios

    Feature animation.

There must be a nametag for Pixar, as there are nametags for every other conceivable division of the Company! Has anyone out there seen one? Perhaps on a tour of their campus, or in a DVD extra somewhere? Or do you have one in your possession? Any information in this quest is most appreciated!

Interesting question, Sosal. You're right. I don't know. Would like to see one if they exist, though.

I doubt they make pixar wear nametags... that's starting to muck with the whole 'culture' area. Maybe they have tags they wear when visiting other campuses.. but I never see JL wearing one.. and you see the other execs in traditional disney wearing them.

Why do they even need nametags at the studios? I don't think too many people who work there have much contact with the general public. Maybe the only one who would need one is the front gate security guard and a couple others who I can't think of at the moment.

I can see name cards made for cubicles or work stations, but nametags to me seem unnecessary for the majority of those who work for the studios.

Its part of the culture.. the identity of the company... tradition.

If you want a bland, necessity only mentality.. go work at Intel.

They don't have nametags. They all carry card keys that let them past the gates into the building. If you come in through the main gate you have to pass through 2 manned guard stations. Your name is on a list at these stations, and both stations have access to head shots of the employees for verification purposes.

I don't think that Disney, having bought Pixar, would have forced its creative traditions onto the successful animation studio. Pixar has its own, awesome traditions, and I am sure that Disney respected those and didn't really try to change the order of things at Pixar upon acquiring it. Actually, probably the only thing at Pixar that changed after Disney's deal was that they had to answer to several new bosses and they saw less of Lasseter within the studio. But, who knows, they could have their own cool name tags. (If so, I want one).

I work in security at the Studios. Majority of employees don't wear their name tags, but you need to have your id badge on you at all times. Its nice when employees do have name tags on so you can identify them as employees, and also know their first name, to say Hi. As for PIXAR name tags I haven't seen one yet.

Out of curiosity, what nametag do Studios cast members currently wear?

Studio name badge is the same as the Kathleen. Imagineering has a different name badge, and also Walt Disney Animation Studios have their own name badges.
