    Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)

I've seen this trailer so many times in the last week and I always laugh. It looks so funny! I recently read the book and I cannot wait to see Becky Bloomwood come to life on the big screen. Any thoughts about Isla Fisher and movie?

I loved the first book, liked the second one, tolerated the third one, hated the fourth, and didn't read the fifth. I hated that she never grew/changed. The movie looks so-so (a little too much slapstick humor in the preview); would have been better if it was set in London with a British actress.

I 100% agree with the above post.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

It looks so bad. I'm so mad that this is playing at the El Cap when we'll be there, instead of a "Disney" movie. Bleh.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Awww you guys really think so? I've only read the first book, but I've heard that the movie is a combination of the first couple (definitely the Manhattan one ) What I liked about Becky was that sure, she gets caught up in the superficial but there's more to her than that. She surprises everyone with her creativity and her talents...kind of like an underdog and that's what I loved so much about the first book. It seems to me that's what she'll be like in the movie. As for the slapstick scenes...well, the situations she gets herself in ARE over-the-top. That's what makes them so funny!

All I know is that there's a attractive red head in it, and we wants the red head...
    Growing older is manditory
    Growing up is however, optional

I'm planning on seeing the movie after I read the book. But Hugh Dancy is cute.

Haha, I think it fits most women, no? I know I've definitely been there! I think that's why so many people love the book - they could relate to Becky's character It comes out in two weeks - Feb 13th! I'm going to watch it with my girls and see if we love it as much as the book.

Wow, you said my words exactly! Except I don't think I even made it to the 4th book.

Re: Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)

I'm going to go see the movie. I love the first three books. I know the thrid one dragged a bit, but the Sleeping Beauty scene...love it. But my biggest qualm is the rating. It's not a PG book. Why is it a PG movie?
