Best sequence in "The Empire Strikes Back" (and edited for brevity).

Re: What's Your Favorite Line/Scene/Character - From Any Movie?

The Bucket List is one of my favorite movies, I think the meaning in it is wonderful. Here are some of my favorite quotes from the movie:

    -"Do you hate me?"
    "Not yet."

-"I envy people who have faith, I just can't get my head around it."
"Maybe because your head's in the way."

Two of my all time favorite movie quote:
-"Even now I cannot understand the measure of a life, but I can tell you this. I know that when he died, his eyes were closed and his heart was open. And I'm pretty sure he was happy with his final resting place, because he was buried on the mountain. And that was against the law"

-"Good afternoon. My name is Edward Cole. I don't know what most people say at these occasions because in all honesty, I've tried to avoid them. The simplest thing is I loved him and I miss him. Carter and I saw the world together, which is amazing when you think that only three months ago we were complete strangers. I hope that it doesn't sound selfish of me, but the last months of his life were the best months of mine. He saved my life, and he knew it before I did. I'm deeply proud that this man found it worth his while to know me. In the end, I think it's safe to say that we brought some joy to one another's lives, so one day, when I go to some final resting place, if I happen to wake up next to a certain wall with a gate, I hope that Carter's there to vouch for me and show me the ropes on the other side."
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined." -Henry David Thoreau

That movie makes me cry so hard...

The last 10 minutes of Empire Records I love (I just watched again for the first time in like a decade. Love it!).

"Life's like a movie, write your own ending, keep believing, keep pretending." Muppet movie.

"You're my exception." He's Just Not That Into You. I nearly melted. I was like "can some guy say that to me? Please?!"

My new favorite scene is Joker's interrogation from Dark Knight. And in The Green Mile, the execution of John Coffey always makes my heart beat fast.

Sorry I had to pull out some Twilight (march 21 2 disc DVD WOOHOO!!!)

Isabella Swan: Will you tell me the truth?
    Edward Cullen: No, probably not.
    [Bella turns away slighly angry]
Edward Cullen: I'd rather hear your theories.
Isabella Swan: I have considered radiocative spiders and kryptonite.
Edward Cullen: All superhero stuff right? But what if I'm not the hero? What if I am the bad guy?
    Isabella Swan: You're not.
    [Edward smiles]

Isabella Swan: Look, You gotta give me some answers.
Edward Cullen: Yes. No. To get to the other side. Uh, 1.77245...
Isabella Swan: I don't need to know what the square root of pi is.
    Edward Cullen: You knew that?

Edward Cullen: And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
Isabella Swan: What a stupid lamb.
Edward Cullen: What a sick, masochistic lion.

Molly Weasley: [looks at Fred, hoping to get him onto platform 9 3/4] Come along, Fred. You first.
George Weasley: He's not Fred, I am!
Fred Weasley: Honestly, woman. And you call yourself our mother...
Molly Weasley: [to Fred] Oh, I'm sorry, George.
[Fred approaches the barrier with his trolley]
Fred Weasley: I'm only joking, I AM Fred!

Clementine: I'm Clementine... No jokes about my name.
Joel: I don't know any jokes about your name.
    Clementine: Huckleberry Hound.
Joel: I don't know what that is.
    Clementine: Huckleberry Hound!
    [singing]
Clementine: Oh my darling, oh my darling, oh my darling Clementine.
Joel: I don't know what that means.
    Clementine: Are you NUTS?

    Dude Satine from Moulin Rouge.
Pretty much all the songs preformed in that movie count as my favorite "lines". ESPECIALLY Your Song. Ahhh it gives me butterflies.

    found one!

It's not even out yet, but!

"I'm gonna cut your G D head off, see if that works."

I literally squee-d when i saw that in the Wolverine trailer. THAT is the character! They lost him somewhere in the second movie,so it's good to see him back.

for those of you saying "What?" It was in the leaked trailer from comic con

Yes i was bad, but it was SO worth it.

Re: What's Your Favorite Line/Scene/Character - From Any Movie?

    There are a lot

    The Godfather
Absolutely the best movie ever and my all time favorite piece of cinematic history. There are a lot of lines in that movie but here are a few of my personal faves.

    "Leave the Gun...Take The Canoli"

"Don Corleone, I am honored and grateful that you have invited me to your home on the wedding day of your daughter. And may their first child be a masculine child."[heavy sigh then, starting over]

Don Corleone: "We've known each other for many years but this is the first time you've ever come to me for counsel or for help. I can't remember the last time you invited me to your house for a cup of coffee, even though my wife is Godmother to your only child. But, let's be frank here. You never wanted my friendship and you were afraid to be in my debt.

Bonasera: I didn't want to get into trouble.

Don Corleone: I understand. You found paradise in America. You had a good trade, made a good living, the police protected you and there were courts of law and you didn't need a friend like me. But, now you come to me and you say "Don Corleone, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect. You don't offer friendship. You don't even think to call me Godfather. Instead, you come into my home on the day my daughter's to be married and you ask me to do murder for money.

Bonasera: I ask you for justice.

Don Corleone: That is not justice your daughter is still alive.

Bonasera: Let them suffer then. As she suffers. How much shall I pay you?

Don Corleone: Bonasera. Bonasera. What have I ever done to make you to treat me so disrespectfully. If you had come to me in friendship then this scum that ruined your daughter would be suffering this very day. And if by chance an honest man like yourself should make enemies then they would become my enemies. And then, they would fear you."

"Fredo, you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever."

[after Michael gets off the phone with Kay, clearly too embarrassed to tell her he loves her]
Clemenza: "Mikey, why don't you tell that nice girl you love her? I love you with all-a my heart, if I don't see-a you again soon, I'm-a gonna die!"

and now the all time best line in The Godfather:

Michael: My father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator.
Kay Adams: Do you know how naive you sound, Michael? Presidents and senators don't have men killed.
Michael: Oh. Who's being naive, Kay?

    The Godfather 2
The second best movie of all time. Here are a few good ones.

" I know it was you Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart!"

Fredo Corleone: I'm your older brother, Mike, and I was stepped over!
Michael Corleone: That's the way Pop wanted it.
Fredo Corleone: It ain't the way I wanted it! I can handle things! I'm smart! Not like everybody says... like dumb... I'm smart and I want respect!
Michael Corleone: Fredo, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels, I don't want you near my house. When you see our mother, I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?

Here are a few more of my favs from various movies...

Jimmy Conway: What's the ****in' matter with you? What - what is the ****in' matter with you? What are you, stupid or what? Tommy, Tommy, I'm kidding with you. What the **** are you doin'? What are you, a ****in' sick maniac?
Tommy DeVito: How am I meant to know you're kidding? What you mean, you're kidding? You breaking my ****in' balls?
Jimmy Conway: I'm ****in' kidding with you! You ****in' shoot the guy?
    Henry Hill: He's dead.
Tommy DeVito: Good shot. What do you want from me? Good shot. ****in' rat anyway. His family's all rats. He'll grow up to be a rat.
Jimmy Conway: You stupid *******, I can't ****in' believe you. Now, you're gonna dig the ****in' thing now. You're gonna dig the hole. You're gonna do it. I got no ****in' lime. You're gonna do it.
Tommy DeVito: Who the **** cares? I'll dig the ****in' hole. I don't give a ****. What is it, the first hole I dug? Not the first time I dug a hole. I'll ****in' dig a hole. Where are the shovels?

"She frosted me like a ****ing cake!"

Richard said, "The next time the mother****er call, tell him I said, "Suck *my* ." I don't give a ****. Whatever the **** make the people laugh, say that ****. Do the people laugh when you say what you say?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Do you get paid?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Well, tell Bill I said have a Coke and a smile and shut the **** up. Jello pudding-eating mother****er."
"Here you leave Today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Bankruptcy!"

Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without saying, "You're making a scene!"

    Happy Gilmore:
Grandma: Sir, can I trouble you for a warm glass of milk? It helps me go to sleep.
Nursing Home Orderly: You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut-the-hell-up.

    Billy Madison:
Billy Madison: I swear to God I'm sick. I can't go to school.
Juanita: If you're gonna stay home today, you can help me shave my armpits.
Billy Madison: Oh my God. I'll go to school.

    Heathers:
Heather Duke: Veronica, you look like hell.
Veronica Sawyer: Yeah? I just got back.

    Pee-wee's Big Adventure:
Pee-wee is offering a $10,000 reward to whoever finds his bike]
Dottie: Pee-wee, how are you ever going to pay a reward like that?
Pee-wee: It's simple. Whoever returns the bike is obviously the person who stole it. So they don't deserve any reward!
