Star Trek and Up. I'm not a big movie person so if I manage to see those two it will be amazing.

I usually love the summer movies. Looking at this list, I'm not really excited by any of them. Star Trek ALMOST made me click on the poll, but I'm only mildly interested in seeing that. I'm bummed.

Re: 2009 Summer Blockbusters - Which One Are You Looking Forward To?

    For me:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - I (along with every other X-men fan) was underwhelmed with X-men 3. This is their chance to re-start the franchise.

Star Trek (2009) - To be honest, I'm not amazed by the previews. I just hope they haven't gone to "Action" because Star Trek was never really about stunts and chases and stuff.

Angels & Demons (Da Vinci Code 2) - I liked Da Vinci Code (so sue me). This is my favorite Dan Brown book so I'm looking forward to it.

Up (New Pixar Film) - It's Pixar, nuff said.

Land of the Lost (Will Ferrell) - This was one of my favorite shows as a kid, I think Will Ferrell is perfect for the movie. Looking forward to it.

Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen - We all liked the first one, we'll be here too.

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince - Can't wait for this one.

    As for the others:

Night at the Museum 2 - I thought the first one was cute, but I think this is going to suffer the same fate as Narnia 2. It's really a "Holiday" franchise that they are trying to launch in the summer.

Terminator Salvation - The concept is cool, Christian Bale should be great, but I'm not sure. I'll be waiting for word of mouth before I decide on this one.

GI Joe - I haven't really heard much on this one to be honest.

I would hope to be able to see Wolvering and Transformers. I liked the first Transformer movie, so I am hoping #2 doesn't dissappoint. And Wolverine. I saw all the other XMens, so I am hoping this is a good one. My husband has been looking forward to the movie of Wolverines origins since he liked reading the story.

Re: 2009 Summer Blockbusters - Which One Are You Looking Forward To?

    Must see:

Wolverine: After the disappointing 3rd film in the X-Men franchise I'm really hoping they do better this time. The casting is enough to give me hope, but we shall see.

Star Trek: Long time fan of the Trek franchise. Not quite to the level of super Trekkie geek (though I do have an autographed photo of George Takei on the wall of my media room), but I have seen most of the shows and all of the films. So far I'm liking what I see, and hoping it's a good revitalization of a stale franchise.

Terminator: McG in the director's chair doesn't give me a great deal of confidence, but the images I've seen so far make it interesting enough to give it a chance.

Transformers: Loved the first one, so as long as they give us more of the same I'll be happy.

Harry Potter: I've enjoyed the franchise thus far, so no reason to think I won't continue to enjoy the last few installments.

    Mild interest:

Up: Sorry fellow Disney/Pixar geeks, but it just hasn't got me excited yet. That being said, I rarely am excited about new Pixar films, but then eventually see them anyway and wind up liking or loving them. They really need to work on doing a better job of making people excited for their films because of the films not just because of who made them. Just my opinion.

    Meh:

Angels & Demons: Only saw the first film because of all the hype, and wasn't really into it. Doubt I'll bother with this installment unless I catch it on DVD at some point.

Night at the Museum: Didn't think the first was all that amusing. I'm guessing this one will be more of the same. Another one I'll catch on DVD, if at all.

Land of the Lost: Meh. Don't really care. If it gets good word of mouth I'll catch it on DVD.

GI Joe: My inner child wants to be as excited about this as I am about Transformers, unfortunately eveything I've seen thus far tells me it's going to suck.

Re: 2009 Summer Blockbusters - Which One Are You Looking Forward To?

Up is the only one on that list for me.

Star Trek? Never cared for it.
    GI Joe? Same.
Night at the Museum? First one was okay, not good enough for a sequel.
Terminator? Why do we need another one?
Transformers? First one wasn't that great.
Harry Potter? Can't stand the brat!
X-Men? I just don't care anymore. X-3 spoiled that for me.
Angles and Demons? Pass for sure.
Land of the Lost? Don't even know what it's about yet and I've lost interest.

Coraline, Watchmen, Up and Princess and the Frog may be the only movies I see this year in theatres.
I like The Happiest Millionaire. What's wrong with that?

Land of the Lost was this old show about a dad and his two kids who fall down some waterfall and somehow end up in a land that has dinosaurs and weird lizard like humanoids and their name escapes me at the moment.

For me, I am definantely up for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The trailers for it look awesome, and I think it'll be better than OotP (I felt like they blasted through that a little too fast). I'll also see UP because, well, it's Pixar. And I will finally see Land of the Lost.

Not surprising, that since this is a Disney board, that Up is getting the votes.

And finally someone voted for Angels & Demons. Hmm, was that a pity vote?

~~jumps up and down excitedly~~Wolverine!!!! Wolverine!!!!! Wolverine!!!!!

    ~~regains composure~~

Sorry. I'm a little excited cause they FINALLY decided to add Gambit to the movie. That tends to make this southern Louisiana belle/Marvel fanatic a little enthusiastic. I'm just a little iffy on how well a guy from British Columbia can do a Cajun accent.

I know my husband is ready to see Tranformers and GI Joe. I know we'll be headed to the theaters when he gets home.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Wolverine in his first solo movie, sweet. The only thing I fear are those movie spinoffs of Deadpool and Gambit.

Star Trek (2009) - Not really a fan of Star Trek so I'll have to pass on this.

Angels & Demons (Da Vinci Code 2) - Da Vinci Code was a really great movie being a little different from the book. Let's hope the second can deliver.

Up (New Pixar Film) - The preview didn't amaze me. Hopefully Pixar didn't show the best parts of the movie.

Land of the Lost (Will Ferrell) - Never really liked the 90's televsion show of Land of the Lost. Don't think I'll see this movie, I'm not a fan of Will Ferell work.

Terminator Salvation - The future is now for the Terminator. More time traveling twist?

Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen - The first one was awesome. Let's just hope the same thing for the second one.

G.I. Joe - Growing up watching the animated series. It will probably have two more sequels along the way.

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince - Read the book and can't wait to see it.

Night at the Museum 2 - Never seen the first one so I'll have to pass.

I only voted for Up and Harry Potter. I don't care one way or the other about the other movies.
