Hello my faithful readers. The time has come for me to share some of the joys I have found hidden abouts the interwebs- as some of you know, I enjoy finding gems hidden on youtube. What I like even more than that is poking fun of said gems of viral videos. So without further ado...the youtube fiesta will commence. Sit Back with all hands and arms inside the ride vehicle at all times, and buckle your safety belts- this is going to be a bumpy ride!
First off, I found this little clip from a theatre company that did the musical Little Shop of Horrors to drum up interest in their show they made a promotional video with paper cutouts a'la southpark, and the cast voicing it...what we get is an hillarious joybuzzer showing an "alternate ending" to Little Shop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
"Oh Crystal you were off..." "No I wasn't Ronette" "Uhhmm Hmmm!"
"Change the Scene Ah Da Doooooo"
I feel kinda fat after eating a dozen donuts by myself. Hmmm I think it's time for me to Mousercise!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object> That Kellyn girl is everything Olivia Newton John Wishes she was! Especially with that high hair and those wonderful shoulder pads. Now I think I need to take a jog, past that scary cemetary, oh nooo zombies!
Well they don't seem to want to eat me, so lets lead them in some calisthenics featuring Linnea Quigley, one of the eighties best scream queens!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object> That must have been a good workout those zombies were practically falling apart after flexing their rigor mortis ridden muscles.
No one does a workout video quite like Daleks, the evil war raging pepper shaker shaped mutants from Dr. Who..Enjoy a Dalek Workout
It looks like Snoopy is about to go workout..Of course he could just be reenacting Flashdance for us all...He looks like a steeltown girl on a saturday night looking for the fight of his life!
Flash..Flash..Flash...Flash-beagle. Snoopy has the mooves gang!
I think we need another strong dose of 80's cheesefest. I now present the classic song and dance number from the long running Halloween Special The Worst Witch featuring that classically trained Shakespearean actor Tim Curry...Anything Can Happen on Halloween! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
Ahhhh how can I forget the late eighties answer to Bewitched- Teen Witch
First off, what everyone thinks of when they think of Teen Witch- Magically induced rap offs with hillarious choreography
Is it just me, or is "Molly" Teen Witch's best friend and rapping grandmaster the prototype for the character of Blossom? Just Sayin'
Next up, the cheerleaders at Teen Witch's High School (Teen Witch High- home of the fighting Broomsticks) Show off their new dance routine, to Teen Witch herself...and yes cheerleaders..it is So Fab!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
Speaking of 80's Cheese Quesadillas I found the trailer for Flowers in the Attic V.C. Andrews gothic novel about horrendously bad parenting made into a movie starring Nurse Ratched- I mean Louise Fletcher and the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer- Kristy Swanson...If you watch closely you'll notice that no true mention of the plot is made. In fact you can pretty much assume that the movie is about a haunted house, and not about malnutritioned children with bad clown white makeup on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
Did I ruin the plot? Good..this sort of reminds me of the original trailer for Sweeney Todd in which there was absolutely no singing and people who normally don't like musicals would think it's just a bloody horror movie a'la Sleepy Hollow it was bloody, but even the blood got a nice dance number...hmmmm I wonder what would happen if Sweeney Todd was remade with a disco beat...I think it'd be something like this!
Where's Snoopy when you need him..I'm sure he'd make a wonderful Sweeney in this production!
If they could make a blood thirsty killer like Sweeney into a disco dancing madman I wonder what they could do to a legendary horror icon like Dracula? Hmmm I think it'd be something like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object> was that man at the beginning Dracula? Or was he simply having a seizure? I don't know, either way I want to go to this Dracula Disco!
Next up is Toto Coelo who in the eighties made a fashion statement out of wearing ziploc bags, saran wrap, and garbage bags as shoes. Here they teach us the value of proper nutrition with their smash hit I Eat Cannibals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
And where we have Toto Coelo, Louise Robey is not far behind. I notice a similar thread in this post..all of the videos are either semi horror related or full of eighties cheese...or both. This video reeks of eighties cheese as Robey has the highest hair I have ever seen on a woman. Here she crawls around in spandex singing about her experiences at a chess competition..last time I played chess there wasn't the cast of The King and I dancing behind me, but maybe that's just me. Did I mention Robey was in Friday the 13th-the Series? Well she was...and this music video is scarier than that whole T.V. Show
If Robey didn't scare you off...this song will. It's from The Midnight Hour an Eighties movie with spooky monsters and fabulous dance sequences. The gal singing is the daughter of Harry Belafonte from "Come Mr. Tallyman Tally Me Banana" Fame... here she sings about the high points of dying. Sharp eyed viewers will notice Levar Burton coming back from the dead as a vampire, and a mummy wearing a diaper...why the mummy is wearing a diaper is beyond me..just go with it! Oh and in the end of the number we see some people dressed as characters from Rocky Horror...looks like that was a crazy Halloween Party, I'm never invited to Halloween Parties with mummies in diapers..Quelle Dommage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
SING IT MICHELLE!!!
Note: In real life you're not supposed to sit on the top part of the ladder...bad show Miss Pfeiffer, leading children to do dangerous stunts looking for their cool riders!
It wouldn't be a post of YouTube Videos that make me chuckle without Ms. Star Wars Trumpet Stacy Hedger. I read somewhere that now whenever she rides Star Tours a single tear falls down her cheek for what might have been http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
And that's all for today! There will be more to find soon!
Sincerely- Mr Lefou
